This house was perfect for my family and the friends that stayed with us. Clean with plenty of room and within walking distance to the beach and the fort (our two favorite places). We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again next summer.
This was our second stay at this location. There is a small beach within walking distance of house which was fun for grandchildren. The manager and owner were very responsive to an issue. Hope to go back next year.
The house was clean and laid out well. There were effectively three separate bedrooms and bathrooms so everyone had their own space. Lovely open kitchen. Short walks to beach, historical site and restaurant. A few small issues with the house that were felt with quickly and did not impact our vacation time.
Thanks for a lovely rental.

Love this place!
This house is perfect. It is so nicely decorated, so comfortable and so big. The kitchen has everything u could ever need. It's only a couple houses from the beach... We walked there every morning with our coffee and watched our kids look for helmet crabs. There are a couple really good restaurants you can walk to. One of them makes the best cinnamon buns you will ever eat.
Be sure to use the outdoor shower and take a snooze in the in the hammock.
Wonderful place to vacation... We will be back!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay with us. Glad to hear everything went well. We look forward to having you back with us again soon!
My family, including my kids and parents, had a wonderful time during our vacation. The house was very clean and spacious and the kitchen was well stocked. We loved the outdoor shower, picnic tables, and hammock.
We ran out of propane on our first night and the property manager responded quickly to my text and replaced it the next day.
It was an easy walk to both "Little Beach" where we enjoyed collecting beach glass and swimming; and the State Beach where we built sand castles, swam, and got lunch at Mimi's. The fort was also an easy walk, the lighthouse was a short drive and there was a great little grocery store just minutes away.
Our time here was so relaxing and we hope to return again next year!

Thank you for your review. We will take your feedback about the furniture into consideration. We've not had any complaints from past renters about comfort before but everyone's experience is different and valuable to us. We hope that in your 4-week stay you found our home and the Pemaquid area to be enjoyable otherwise.
Hi Steve. We really enjoyed our stay at the house. It's so peaceful and quiet on that road. The house felt roomy and the layout worked for 3 adult couples and two grandchildren. It's hard to find a house with 3 full baths so each couple has their own.
The kitchen was big, bright and well equipped. It was enjoyable to have the little sofa in the kitchen so we could be together during meal prep and doing laundry.
Loved the little beach nearby. It's a lot easier to walk children to a beach than putting them in a car! The older granddaughter loved beach combing and experienced the beach during high and low tides.
The manager helped us quickly with questions about the TV and how to operate the kitchen fans.
The house is in a great location for attractions (Pemaquid light house, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Damariscotta and its Damariscotta River Grill Restaurant). Enjoyed our walks and views of the harbor at the nearby Fort grounds. Three great lobster places (Pemaquid Seafood Restaurant in Bristol, Muscongus in Round Pond and Shaw's in New Harbor) on the water within 15 minutes of the house! We'll be back. Thank you.

Glad you had a nice stay and thank you for your feedback. Hope to have you back next summer!
The house was spacious and clean and a 5 minute walk to the big beach Pemaquid Beach which has white sand and clear blue water. Great for children to build sand castles.
Nice family friendly property within a quick walk of the neighborhood Little Beach, which is quite fun for children. Slight issue with the water one of the days, but Steve and the property manager were quick to fix it. The kitchen is well stocked and a nice bright room. Overall, good stay!
Love the great location. Beautiful views in quiet seaside village. Lovely walks at the door step. Plenty of room for gathering or having your own space. 3 BR’s plus outdoor shower a huge plus. Owners and property manager respectful yet accessible and responsive. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful week during June 2021. The house is roomy and although the decor was a bit dated it had everything we needed.
We loved heading down to the little beach near the house. It was perfect for our three young kids with calm, shallow water.
The larger public beach was also within walking distance and had immaculate white sand.
The area has a wonderful neighbourhood feel and we were even invited along to the listen to the local jazz band.
Overall it was a fantastic spot for a family vacation!

Perfect house in perfect location!
Perfect house in perfect location! Just steps away from both the neighborhood and Pemaquid beaches, this house was roomy enough for our family of six adults. The house is well equipped and offers a lot--including outdoor shower and a hammock. The rooms are spacious, the house is very clean, and the kitchen is well stocked so it was easy to cook up some blueberry muffins or grill outside! It is an easy walk to Pemaquid harbor for kayaking, waterfront dining, a visit to the old fort. Every evening we were out for a neighborhood walk to enjoy the sunsets. The boat to Monhegan Island is just a short drive away. There is a lot to do in the area, but also a lot to do without getting in a car.
....And there are incredible cinnamon buns at the nearby cafe!

A lovely home and great location
The house was lovely, just the kind of house I had in mind. I like colonial architecture and the additions from the original enhance the property. The location is perfect. Close to the local market, beach and activities. The neighborhood is like home not a "vacation" setting, which I so appreciated. The house is light and airy with wonderful skylights. You can hear the waves hitting the shore in the evening. I could amuse myself just watching the activity of the New Harbor lobster fisherman. And I love lobster!

Great vacation place -- wonderful house
Our family loved our stay here, plain and simple.
The house is big and airy, with plenty of rooms, beds, and bathrooms for our extended family. Clean, roomy bedrooms, classic Maine charm with modern facilities and comforts of home. House has vaulted ceilings with wood beams and skylights in the kitchen, plenty of sunlight and fresh sea air/ wave sounds from the many windows -- and literally a few houses away from both the natural neighborhood beach and larger public beach with snack bar, showers, and toilets. Nature lovers will love this location.
Easy walk to the old fort, waterfront dining, dock fishing, kayaking, shell and beachglass hunting, and the best breakfast place we've ever been. Our kids climbed the apple trees while we slept in the hammack on the front yard, or sipped cocktails on the front deck. We rode our bikes out to the Lighthouse, and then stopped back at town on the way back to dine waterside with lobster rolls and ice cream at Shaw's.
This place and location had it all, the real feel and charm of a fishing/lobster community, combined with vacation and tourist-friendly activities and things to see and do within steps of the house. Close to the lobster co-op for the best freshest lobsters ever had, the town of New Harbor which is right off a post card, and Pemaquid light house -- which is honored on the State quarter.
We loved our Maine vacation, the Pemequid Point beach location, and all the house had to offer. We plan to make it back each summer, and hope to make this a new family tradition.

Wonderful vacation home
We highly recommend this house for a Pemaquid Point vacation. This house was great for the six of us (including two young children). It is s hisorically charming and comfortable. The kitchen is huge, with high ceilings, and excellant natural light. You can walk to two beaches and a fascinating fort and archeological dig. The property owners were great - very accomodating and providing insights and recommendations for the local area that all proved to be accurate. The security deposit was returned quickly, as well. One of their recommendations, the Pemaquid Lobster Co-Op (a ten minute drive)is not to be missed - $20 for a three lobster dinner that was the best lobster we have ever tasted.
