About this property

Stunning Ocean Views in Historic Chamberlain, XL Porch, Chef's Kitchen, 3 BE/BA

Enjoy classic Maine living "Life as it should be" during your stay at the beautifully furnished Casa Mia and be part of the historic Chamberlain/New Harbor community.
Casa Mia is a 3300sqft luxury property, architect-designed and custom-built for year-round use. It incorporates the best of an original coastal cape home dating from the mid 1880’s with contemporary design and features including open plan living space and a chef's kitchen. The property is situated on one acre of land with beautiful landscaping and planting around the house.
The expansive views are breathtaking from inside and outside this peaceful home onto Long Cove Point, a small peninsula of period cottages and far-reaching views. Boats are anchored within the cove, beyond which the bold open ocean surf crashes onto the rocks of the point.
There are 3 bedrooms (2 king size + 1 queen).
All bedrooms have en-suite baths and ceiling fans. There is a very spacious lounge and TV room, a living/dining room with cathedral-style vaulted ceilings, fan, exposed beams and a beautiful stone fireplace for cosy evenings. The newly decorated original structure houses 2 guest rooms, both with own baths. A pocket door leading to this part of the house from the TV room can be left open or closed for more privacy. The entire home is outfitted with plenty of built-in closet space, incl a walk-in dressing room in the master bedroom.
Eat in or go out: we have shops and restaurants open year-round nearby.
The custom-built gourmet kitchen with granite counters is a chef’s dream including a super-cozy café-style table for breakfast/lunch.

The beautifully furnished rooms have been designed with an open plan concept in mind. Each space is distinct but flows into the next, which allows family and friends of all ages to be together while still finding many private areas for reading, chatting, playing etc.

The living/dining room, the kitchen and the lounge room, all open onto a wide and long porch perfect for relaxing, reading, morning coffee and evening drinks. The porch has several seating areas, it offers protection from the ocean breeze and has stunning views onto the cove and the bold open ocean.

We’ve added high-end contemporary furnishings,, a large flat-screen TV, a new, faster Internet connection, a cellphone booster, new drapes and linens and the home has been completely repainted. Our intention is to create a cozy home by the sea, combining the beautiful, classic architecture and craftsmanship with contemporary influences, conveniences and luxury touches.

Cross the road from the property onto Long Cove Point where you can launch kayaks and swim in the small cove.

Start your day with a coffee and a walk down to the point or take the comfortable option of sitting on the porch with your first coffee, looking over the water. You can get fresh-baked goods, homemade deli-salads and pretty much everything else from the well-stocked country-store a few minutes down the road in New Harbor.

New Harbor is one of the last working harbors along the mid-coast. The harbor and surrounding area are steeped in the rich history of fishing, lobstering and boat building. Though you have convenience stores and casual restaurants as well as eat-in, take-out seafood places, you won’t feel that you are in a busy tourist destination. Things here are simple, peaceful, relaxed and move at a comfortable pace. This is what sets the area apart and attracts many visitors to the area.

There are plenty of things to do and visit in the area – here are just a few. More detailed information provided to guests prior to arrival and at the house, you will find plenty of information material, magazines etc.
