We stayed at this VRBO property for 8 nights. Everything was fantastic. Place was spotless. Great beachfront location. Nice lunch place next door. A few other restaurants in the local area. We found ourselves going to Ribiera Grande most nights for dinner (10 minute drive). The beach was clean and most days perfect for swimming. Pretty gentle waves. Yesterday it was quite rough so no swimming. We booked a few excursions such as fishing, rock jumping etc and they were all really convenient. Great holiday. Thank you to the owners for sharing this property. Great time.

We had a beautiful view of the beach, ocean, and surrounding cliffs from the patio and the wonderful dining area opened to the breeze and sounds of the waves.

We loved this house and the location! For beach people, this house is perfect! Could not have asked for better access to a beach that quickly became a favorite for us in the Azores! While the beach is busy during the day, the evenings were quiet and listening to the waves was the perfect soundtrack to our stay. We loved walking to the trails in the area and the two restaurants nearby. Also, the kitchen was well-stocked with all that we needed! Fabulous home!

Wow, what an absolutely amazing property right on Moinhos Beach! Having a private gate leading straight onto the sand was unbeatable. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and incredibly inviting. The beds were firm but cozy, and we loved that there was a wide variety of pillows ranging from soft to firm to suit anyone's preference. There is also plenty of outdoor space to relax and soak in the breathtaking views. The location feels wonderfully quiet and tucked away, even though the beach can get busy on prime days. Porto Formoso is perfectly situated for exploring the rest of the island, with most major attractions no more than a 45-minute drive away. Parking near the house can be a bit tight, so we opted for the large public lot just a two-minute walk away, which worked out perfectly. We absolutely loved our time here!

We couldn’t believe how perfect this house is. The house itself: impeccably clean and comfortable. There is a room with a large table and comfortable chairs where you can open all the sliding doors on three sides to the ocean - it was heaven. Kitchen, perfect. Bedrooms, perfect. Bathrooms/showers, perfect. Laundry and dishwasher worked perfectly. Zone A/C in all rooms if desired, although we kept the windows open for the ocean air! So many windows and outdoor balcony spaces which were wonderful. And, not a single, solitary insect the whole time we were there. The setting: this beautiful house is RIGHT ON THE BEACH at Praia dos Moinhos - a lovely, uncrowded beach. We woke each morning to having the beach to ourselves!!!! And even when others arrived it was sparsely populated! The sand is great and it is perfect for swimming. And there are even lifeguards!!! And a cafe with music and delicious food. The island is small - and the location of the house was a convenient base to be able to reach all areas! The hosts: Communication was fantastic. They were friendly, helpful, and very responsive!!! They helped with travel/airport questions, and sky questions we had from the initial booking to a change in dates to adding a person to any house questions were answered right away! (And for any future guests, we did enjoy visits from a very distinguished cat each day - we read that the island collectively takes care of the cats since they are good for keeping mice away! We loved him!)
