Dreamaway Cottage is your paradise away from home! This 3 bedroom, 3 and a half bath home is nestled in Surfman's Walk, which is located in Cape Fear Station. We have completely remodeled our home and take lots of pride into making it your special vacation spot. Downstairs we have a kitchen, dining, living room (sleeper sofa) and half bath. Upstairs includes a master suite with a king bed and the guest bedroom suite has two queen beds. We also have an additional bedroom (crofter) above the 2 cart garage. There is a queen and twin bed as well as a full bath. The crofter is steps away from the house. We have two porches, which are both screened. We enjoy many mornings and nights watching the wildlife go by from our own back yard. As far as additional amenities we have a 4 and a 6 seater golf cart, 4 beach chairs, beach towels, Wifi and a heated outdoor shower. We also have access to both clubs and temporary membership passes may be purchased for your stay. We know you will enjoy our home as much as we do! We do have a verizon cell extender in the home for verizon wireless customers. This part of the island does not have as clear cell service as other areas. We do have spectrum WIFI high speed internet for your use to use facetime phone calls.

*The owner of this property does have a dog. Please consider if you have pet allergies.

Great property

We have rented many properties at BHI and this property was one of our favorites. We loved the location to the Shoals Club and the beach. It was very suited for our family of four and the kitchen was stocked nicely. It was well furnished and finished well with decor. We enjoyed our stay!

Perfect Spot for Race Weekend

This is my second time staying at this house, and I absolutely love it. It's clean, comfortable, and has everything I need for a stress-free stay. The best part? It’s only a 5-minute walk to the Badwater Cape Fear race finish line, super convenient, especially after a long race. I plan to keep coming back every March. Highly recommended!runners or anyone visiting the area!

Beautiful Cottage

We loved this place. Very comfortable and loved the decor. It was so nice for each person to have their own bathroom. Nicely layed out and we will definitely stay there again. It is also located in our favorite area of the island. This place will for sure stayed booked so get it while you can. 😊

Great house and Location

6 of us at Bald Head for a friend's wedding. This house is perfect for 6 couples. Very clean. Had everything we needed for a great stay. Loved morning coffee on the porches. Would definitely stay here again. Rental managers were great to deal with.

Wonderful House

We (family of 5 with teens) really enjoyed the house and the extra room over the garage. It was perfectly located with golf cart access to all places. We also enjoyed using the provided bikes to spin around the roads throughout our area. BHI is a wonderful island and we will definitely return soon!!

LOVE! Never wanted to leave!

We have stayed in perhaps half a dozen homes here & this is still my fave. It’s got some kind of feeling in it that says “home.” We felt very comfortable even from the first 5 minutes in the house. Very clean, comfortable beds, big kitchen/dining, kin a cute subivision. Highly recommend!!

The Perfect Long Weekend Getaway!

I have been going to Bald Head my whole life and stayed in many different homes on the Island with my Family. This home was the perfect space for our group! It had nice open living spaces and two screened-in porches. We loved the kitchen and the big dinning table for sharing meals together. It also provided all of the amenities we needed and the property manager was great to work with! We could not have asked for a better spot!

Charming house in Cape Fear Station

We very much enjoyed our two-week vacation to BHI! Dreamaway cottage is lovely and fit 6 of us very comfortably. It’s perfectly located within a 3 minute cart ride (or 10 minute walk) to the Shoals Club and East Beach. The kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans, plates, utensils, cutlery, etc. There is plenty of seating around the kitchen table and in the living room area. The furniture is all in great condition and very pretty! We look forward to returning at some point!!

We had 3 issues and the management company responded immediately. The crofter beds had sand in them. The outdoor shower has mold in it.

Gorgeous cottage retreat

We stayed for a week in the middle of June. The house was exactly as described. Very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. There were bikes, beach chairs and the grill was great. The house is located in the wooded part of the island and we were thrilled with the location. We took advantage of the Bald Head Island Club and the pools and water slides were great for the kids and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the amazing golf course twice. We will definitely be returning. It was the perfect size for our family of 7.
