Recently redecorated and designed with families and groups in mind, this generous countryside retreat sleeps up to twelve guests across five comfortable bedrooms, offering plenty of space to relax, reconnect, and enjoy rural French life.

    We’re John and Michelle, originally from Blackburn in the UK, and welcoming guests to 14 Le Chézeau is the realisation of a long‑held dream. After many years working in the education sector, we decided it was time to follow our passion for hospitality and countryside living, settling here in the beautiful Haute‑Vienne.

    Family is at the heart of everything we do. We have three grown‑up children — Jordan, Mya and Will — each happily pursuing their own paths, yet always a big part of our story. And of course, you’ll often meet Daisy, our friendly working cocker spaniel, who loves greeting new arrivals and ensures our gîtes stay as pet‑friendly as possible.

    Since purchasing 14 Le Chézeau in October 2025, we’ve been carefully refreshing the properties — keeping their original charm while adding the comfort and quality. Our aim is simple: to offer warm, welcoming, well‑equipped holiday homes where guests can relax, explore, and feel completely at ease.

    We feel incredibly lucky to call this peaceful corner of France our home, and we look forward to sharing it with you — whether you’re joining us for a weekend escape or a longer stay.

    We fell in love with this corner of the Haute‑Vienne long before we ever moved here. There’s a gentle rhythm to life at Le Chézeau — quiet lanes lined with chestnut trees, wide open skies, and that unmistakable feeling of space and calm. It’s the kind of place where you wake to birdsong, wander down to the lake for an afternoon swim, and end the day watching the sun dip behind the fields.

    What makes this area so special is its balance of peace and possibility. Within minutes you can be exploring forest trails, paddling in the river, discovering local markets, or enjoying a long, lazy lunch in one of the nearby villages. The region is full of history and character, yet never crowded — a place where you can truly switch off.

    We love that our guests can arrive, breathe out, and immediately feel at home. Whether you’re here for walking, cycling, lakeside adventures, or simply a quiet escape, the landscape has a way of slowing everything down. It’s a place that invites you to reconnect — with nature, with family, and with yourself.

    Daisy Cottage is one of three charming holiday homes at Gîtes Le Chézeau, and what makes it truly special is the space it offers — both inside and out. With room for up to 12 guests, it’s ideal for families and groups who want to be together without ever feeling crowded.

    What really sets us apart is the range of facilities you’ll find here. Guests have exclusive access to a fantastic games barn with a full‑size snooker table, darts, ping pong, pool and a gym area, plus French boules outside. In April and May you can unwind in the hot tub, and from June to October the heated pool becomes the heart of long, lazy days.

    Daisy Cottage brings people together in a way few places can — plenty of comfort, plenty of space, and plenty to enjoy, all in the peaceful countryside of the Haute‑Vienne.
