At the heart of the Cevennes between sea and mountain,
We welcome you to our beautiful mill which dates back to the thirteenth century.
Successively silk mill and orangery of the property, the building is now converted into a comfortable home with direct access to the park property in terraces and rare species.
At once the heart of the village and the mountains, accessible by car, ideal base for touring, it will allow you to easily enjoy the region's business.

Your apartment bungalow has a private garden overlooking our large enclosed park and the 'ferry' so characteristic of our Cevennes.
You have
       - A large living room with kitchen (fully equipped), very sunny ... with large openings in the semi hanger own spinning mills and a beautiful ceiling 'French'.

Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux dans ce gîte ! Les hôtes sont d’une grande gentillesse et très chaleureux. Le lieu est magnifique, parfaitement entretenu et décoré avec goût, on s’y sent tout de suite bien. La localisation est idéale, à la fois calme et proche des principaux sites à découvrir. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Charles et sa famille dans ce lieu historique. Le parc est superbe et procure beaucoup de quiétude. Sumène est un beau village bien localisé entre les Cevennes, le Pic St Loup, le Cirque de Navacelles. L'appartement est un peu rustique mais confortable, bien équipé et climatisé. Les commerces de proximité (bonne boulangerie, pressé et pizzeria) sont à quelques dizaines de mètres.

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour à la filature ! Un immense merci à Charles et sa famille pour leur accueil : vous avez grandement participé à faire de cette semaine des vacances mémorables pour nous. Belles excursions aux alentours, ponctuées de plongeons dans la piscine et de parties de ping pong dans un cadre exceptionnel, nos enfants (15, 13 et 10 ans) comme nous avons adoré ! Nous recommandons pleinement et songeons déjà à revenir, encore merci !

Groene oase van rust

Twee weken genoten in en rondom de Filature. Hartelijk ontvangen en goed geïnformeerd over de omgeving en de geschiedenis. We hebben gefietst, gewandeld en geluierd bij het mooie zwembad. Ideale uitvalbasis om de prachtige natuur te verkennen. We hadden niet gedacht dat de Cevennen zoveel te bieden had! De sympathieke eigenaren hebben ons ook geholpen ons Frans te oefenen...!

Un lieu extra-ordinaire

Séjour idéal en famille avec deux ados de 16 et 17 ans dans cette magnifique demeure dont les propriétaires sont absolument charmants ! Nous avons tout aimé, à la filature comme dans les environs, il y a beaucoup de possibilités d’activités : fêtes villageoises, visites, balades à cheval, randonnées, canyoning, canoës-kayaks, etc. Impossible de s’ennuyer ! Et si l’on veut buller, c’est aussi possible et fort agréable au bord de la piscine avec vue sur le beau parc de la filature. Un endroit où nous aimerions revenir, c’est certain. Merci pour tout !

Inoubliable

Nous avons passé 15 jours de vacances inoubliables. Mme et Mr De Clercq, ainsi que toute leur famille, nous ont accueilli chaleureusement. Au petits soins pour toute notre famille (prêt de materiel bébé, jeux et jouets pour les enfants et guides touristiques) ,ils nous ont donné de nombreux conseils de visites pour découvrir la région. La location est agréable et tout confort, le jardin est magique et la piscine très appréciée des petits comme des grands. Gage de bonnes vacances, les enfants ne voulaient plus partir et nous demandent déjà de revenir l’année prochaine! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir c’est certain!

Séjour parfait à la filature en cévennes

Un lieu de détente dans les Cévennes : cadre magnifique et dépaysant. La piscine permet de se détendre après une belle journée de visite. Etienne et Violaine sont charmants et savent nous raconter toute l'histoire de cette belle demeure et de leurs familles. Nous avons tous apprécié ce logement pratique et chargé d 'histoire et recommandons les yeux fermés. Merci à vous ! nous aurions plaisir à revenir chez vous !

Séjour très agréable

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Sumène. Le gîte est idéalement placé pour visiter les Cévennes et les propriétaires sont charmants. Quant au site (l'houstal, le parc et les montagnes autour), il est tout simplement magnifique.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Sumène. Le logement est très agréable, décoré avec soin et disposant de tout l’équipement nécessaire. Les commerces, de qualité, sont accessibles en quelque minutes, Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l’hospitalité de Mr et Mme DeClercq ainsi que de leur fils, des personnes passionnées qui partagent volontiers l’histoire de leur propriété familiale tout en nous mettant à l’aise pour partager leur domaine. Nous nous sommes sentis des privilégiés à séjourner dans cette magnifique propriété.

Très belle location dans un lieu rempli d'histoire

La maison de M. et Mme De Clercq est située dans un parc absolumement magnifique. La piscine est très grande, au calme, sécurisée et traitée au sel. M. Et Mme De Clercq ont été des hôtes charmants et très accueillants. Ils partagent volontiers la riche et incroyable histoire de leur propriété. Les photos de l'appartement sont conformes à la réalité avec une grande cuisine très bien équipée. Nous avons passé un très beau séjour et nous remercions chaleureusement M. et Mme De Clercq pour leur gentillesse.

Hele bijzondere en mooie locatie

Een hele mooie en bijzondere locatie op een domein vrijwel in het midden van het dorp. De zeer zeer vriendelijke eigenaars zijn (terecht) trots en lieten ons direct alles in en om het appartement zien includief tips in en om Sumène. Wat onduudelijk was uit de omschrijving in de advertentie was de hoeveelheid appartementen / gasten het domein zou kunnen huusvesten. Uiteindelijk bleken wij er de week alleen te zijn wat natuurlijk super luxe was. Met name voor het gebruik van het (chloorvrije!) zwembad!! Komende week zullen er echter meer dan 20 gasten verblijven. Dan heb je waarschijnlijk een andere beleving. De omgeving biedt veel mogelijkheden voor outdoor activiteiten en relaxen aan een van de rivieren. Al met al een aanrader mede dankzij de enthousiaste en vriendelijk eigenaren.

Site et accueil excellent pour des vacances en famille

Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour à Sumène dans la magnanerie mise à notre disposition. Un site charmant dans un très beau parc qui a offert aux enfants une superbe aire de jeu. Nos hôtes se sont très bien occupés de nous et nous ont dispensé de précieux conseils pour profiter au mieux de notre séjour. Nous vous recommandons fortement ce lieu.

Stylish airy gite in an old silk factory on the estate of the owners in a very beautiful park.

Etienne and Violaine de Clercq were warm, helpful and a delight to meet. The whole set up offers a little corner of heaven. Air-con in the heatwave was indispensable and the salt water pool crystal clear. Sumene is an intriguing village with all necessities and a couple of good places to eat. Very good walks straight from the front door. We hope to return soon.

Unique spot!

Absoulutely amazing place!The view i breathtaking and the garden lovely. You will not find a more welcoming and friendly host! We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Both adults and children were happy with the house, the pool and the garden. There is plenty to see and do in the region and Sumène is a lovely little village! I highly recommend the place and will definitly go back!!

Formidable

Une excellente adresse. Très bon accueil. Très beau et très grand Parc clôturé. Nos enfants se sont régalés ( 10, 7 et 2 ans) et nous aussi. Piscine bien sécurisée et bien agréable. Idéalement situé. 3 magnifiques balades avec nos enfants sans avoir à prendre la voiture ( et on à pas tout fait ). Bref je recommande chaudement.
