Enjoying a peaceful location surrounded by stunning scenery, this pretty and spacious detached cottage offers peace and tranquillity, and makes a fantastic base for a romantic retreat in the beautiful north-eastern corner of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The cottage is close to the picturesque village of Strathyre (0.5 miles) on the other side of a beautiful river running from Loch Voil. The area offers miles of breathtaking scenic walks and cycle routes to be enjoyed from the doorstep, as well as a range of Munros for keen climbers to bag. The river and glen around Balquhidder is steeped in history: the Balquhidder kirkyard attracts many visitors from around the world to see the resting place of the famous outlaw and folk hero Rob Roy. A range of water sports are available at Loch Earn only 8 miles away. When you have explored the beauty of the surrounding area take a daytrip to the major city of Stirling 25 miles away to indulge in art galleries, shopping, leisure and historic attractions.

Stroneslaney Cottage is located very close to Balquhidder village, typically described as being less than 2 miles away, situated between Balquhidder and Strathyre. This area, near to Loch Voil and the Monachyle Mhor Hotel is a scenic, rural setting within the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. It is easily accessible from the main route while offering a secluded, rural and peaceful environment.

Stepping inside this cheerful, fresh and traditional cottage, the light and welcoming open-plan kitchen/diner is an airy and attractive space perfect for preparing and sharing romantic meals for two. The dining area is in the corner by the patio doors, allowing plenty of light in, while the spacious fully equipped kitchen has ample room to create culinary treats. At the heart of this delightful room, a roaring wood burner gives the whole space a lovely warm glow. A few stairs lead down into the heart of the property: a cosy rustic-flavoured lounge with a beamed ceiling, wooden floors and a second wood burner, set in a lovely large fireplace. With cosy seating, Sky TV and an iPod dock, this is a relaxing space to unwind in at the end of an unforgettable day in this awe-inspiring part of Scotland. Exploring the cottage further, the hallway has traditional exposed stone walls and leads to a refreshing shower room. A few steps lead up into the tastefully decorated and elegantly furnished double bedroom.

The delightful garden has plenty of seating, with bird feeders dotted about so you can spot some of the many feathered visitors to this enchanting area. You may also glimpse an array of wildlife including red squirrels, pine martens, pheasants and deer.
