About this property

The Old Bakery - sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms

From authentic features to carefully chosen furnishings, every corner of The Old Bakery oozes character. The immaculate modern kitchen is set within the oldest part of the house, where exposed brickwork and original beams remain from the days when the bakery's ovens were fired up and villagers queued outside for their daily bread. Now a stylish dining table provides a place for an indulgent meal. The equally characterful living room features stunning wood panelling and arched doorways alongside an exceptional choice of furnishings and finishing touches, perfect for relaxing evenings in.

With two king-size bedrooms and a twin, the property is perfectly set up for families or groups, each beautifully appointed with tranquil decor and beautiful, high-quality linens. Once the bakery's grain store, the twin bedroom is the crowning glory of the property with soaring wood beams and the original window where grain would have been poured to the bakery below still intact.

Outside, a quiet garden offers space to relax on a summer's evening with a glass of wine or sparkling presse. Stroll down to the village pub for a delectable Sunday lunch or enjoy picturesque walks along the River Stour that meanders behind the property.

Ground Floor

Kitchen:
Step back in time to 1835 where the old bakery once resided. Today you'll find all mod-cons from oven and hob and fridge freezer, to toaster, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine/dryer. A table seats six for meals.

Living Room:
This spacious, elegant room has been beautifully decorated and styled, with its original wood panelling a standout feature. Spend evenings relaxing on the sofas watching a movie or your favourite series on the smart TV or read a book in the lounge area overlooking the garden.

First Floor

Bedroom One:
The wonderful master bedroom has a beautiful king-size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, dressing table and views of the garden.

Bedroom Two:
A charming room with king-size sleigh bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Bedroom Three:
A spectacular twin room packed with history. Once the grain store, the room features high ceilings, exposed beams and the original window where grain would have been poured to the bakery below. Two twin beds can be extended to make small doubles, meaning the room is perfect for both children over 5 or two adults sharing. There is also a wardrobe with chest of drawers and dressing table.

Bathroom:
The beautiful family bathroom features a bath (shower over bath), WC and Basin.

Outside
Step out of the lounge's French doors to a charming, peaceful garden. Teens and their furry friends will love playing on the lawn while adults can relax on the terrace, enjoying an al fresco lunch at the outdoor dining table seating six.
