The Idyllwild Experience All of our Experience Idyllwild retreats are located within a mile of the village center, offering the perfect balance of forest seclusion and small-town convenience. At an elevation that stays 20–30 degrees cooler than the valley floors below, it is the ultimate year-round escape for those who appreciate design and nature.
Shops, Dining & Art Downtown Idyllwild offers a thriving arts community full of music festivals, galleries, and a classic movie theatre. You’ll find excellent dining of all stripes—from the local brewery to fine boutiques—all within a short distance of the cabin.

You will receive your code and arrival instructions three days before you arrive.
𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐆𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐛𝐨 𝐚𝐤𝐚 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 The true treasure of Idyllbrook is the screened-in gazebo aka BrookHouse that sits at the edge of the property line along the babbling brook. Follow the meandering steps down into the backyard and find the BrookHouse awaiting your arrival. Inside, a huge sectional entices you to kick your feet up. As soon as you sit, you'll have no choice but to take a moment to be still and listen to the sounds of the forest. The magic of the BrookHouse will wash over you, and a nap may happen before you know it. A small desk sits in the corner along with a power strip in case a spark of inspiration hits. The desk has a chair but can also be converted into a standing desk.
𝐁𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐬 This two-bedroom cabin hosts a king bed in the master bedroom and a full in the second sleeping area. Both sleeping area are located on the top floor of the cabin and each have a private balcony and sitting area. There is one full bathroom on the entry-level of the cabin with a shower/tub combo, toilet, and sink.
𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 The living room, dining nook, and kitchen are down a small set of five or so steps from the front door. The living room has two large, cushy sofas and a lounge chair so there is plenty of room for everyone to cozy up around the statement ledgerock wood-burning fireplace or the 55" flat-screen Roku TV with Bluetooth soundbar. There is also a plethora of board games for game night!
𝐊𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐧 The kitchen is well-equipped with all your cooking needs including ample cooking utensils, basic oils, spices, waffle maker, rice cooker, bakeware, and even children's plates and cutlery.
𝐁 𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐲𝐚𝐫𝐝 & 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐤 The backyard is sprinkled with little sitting areas to nestle into as well as a hammock perfect for napping. On the back deck, sits a couple of iron rocking chairs, bench seating, and a four-seater outdoor dining table. These outdoor seating areas overlook the spacious backyard and seasonal steam. We've added a short fence that can be pulled out to block-off the deck area so that your pups can enjoy the view with you. A gas BBQ sits around the side of the house.
𝘞𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘰𝘳 𝘋𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘛𝘰𝘸𝘯 Idyllbrook is centrally located near the village of Idyllwild. The cabin sits just under a mile (.9 to be exact) from Café Aroma at the North end of town, or head south down South Circle and your walk will be the same distance to the new Idyllwild Brewpub and Fairway Market at the South end. Be sure to save some energy for the journey back as coming home is uphill. Live it up in town without worrying about having to drive home later, as there is no Uber or Lyft in our mountains.

My husband and I fell in love with this place. It’s so quiet and peaceful, even though it’s just five minutes from town. The gazebo is the perfect spot to work or read while listening to the sounds of nature and the creek. Every morning we had breakfast on the deck, and in the evenings we sat by the fire pit, enjoying our peaceful moments. I highly recommend this place for a couples getaway.
We spent Christmas with our two teenagers at the cabin and we had a wonderful stay. Well equipped, comfy beds, great location and nice little extras provided by the owners.

Thank you, Robin, for your lovely review. We are so happy you and your family enjoyed your stay, and we hope to have you back soon!
This was our second time staying here and it continues to be a great place to get away. Close to town (can walk if you’re up for a bit of a trek) and all of the shops and restaurants. But the neighborhood is pretty chill and of course the gazebo is the best place to relax. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies if you want to make meals. Would definitely stay again!
Loved the property, if you want to curl up in front of a roaring fireplace with sounds of a forest brook in the background then this place is for you. Close to town and nature. Very communicative hosts (in a good way).
Wonderful, cozy cabin that had everything I needed. The gazebo is magical - so peaceful. This is my new happy place. I hope to return often.

We absolutely loved our stay at Idyllbrook. The cabin was wonderful and the gazebo by the creek was a dream come true - got some much needed time to relax and recharge. We'll definitely be back. 💕
We had a great stay. Location is excellent! 4/min drive into town. Perfecto! No issues whatsoever. We would stay at this property again without a doubt. Highly recommend.

Super Cozy Cabin!
The Idyllbrook cabin was a perfect getaway from the city for our family (two small kids and a dog). The cabin was super clean and comfortable. There are woods to explore right in the back yard and the home had everything we could have wanted from kitchen supplies/spices to bedding, firewood, and games... even the guitar was tuned! Such a great trip -- we can't wait to return!

Phenomenal!!
We stayed for 3 nights and spent a total of 3 hours offsite. We had no desire to leave. The gazebo is wonderful! Perfect for watercolor painting and just relaxing. The main balcony has a wonderful view with comfortable seating. We ate outdoors on the balcony and enjoyed the gas fireplace. The kitchen is stocked so well that you will have a very hard time thinking of anything that you might have at home that isn't there also. We noticed and appreciated the small touches done to enhance the view. I'm a bit sensitive to pet dander but was not impacted by it all and was slightly worried that it was pet friendly, but I had zero issues. We truly enjoyed our time there!
The house is very clean and cozy. The kitchen has everything you could need including dog bowls. The property is beautiful and relaxing, you can hear the brook running behind the house. Close enough to town but far enough you feel secluded. Everything was clean and comfortable. Check in time is a little late compared to others we’ve stayed at. Overall a great time!

A relaxing mountain stay with great amenities!
We are returning guests, and our stay this time around was just great as our previous stays. The Idyllbrook was absolutely wonderful. Our hosts were friendly and communicative and reached out to us during our stay to make sure any of our concerns or issues with the property could be addressed. This really made us feel welcomed. We spent a considerable amount of time in the Idyllbrook screened-in gazebo / house down by Strawberry Creek just listening to the woodland sounds, lounging, and enjoying the view. This great space really enabled us to unwind and relax. The kitchen is also amazing with so many types of bowls, pans, and cooking instruments provided (as well as spices). We always appreciate this aspect of the property whenever we stay at the property.

Idyllbrook is the best rental property I ever stayed at. This cabin is in a perfect location - on a quiet street but close enough to town, and also close to all the best hiking trails in the area. The cabin has a great flat wide driveway. The house itself is very well decorated, everything is in perfect working condition. The kitchen is well appointed and equipped with all appliances and utensils, so if you are in the mood for staying in and cooking, you can cook up a feast. But like I said, the cabin is so close to town that it’s easy to enjoy the wonderful restaurants in Idyllwild. The grounds around the cabin need to be mentioned - the path down to the gazebo and the brook, so pretty!! The cabin is perfectly clean, so cozy and comfortable, we spent an amazing long weekend and when we come back to Idyllwild we hope to be able to stay at this property again.
