This home is perfect for family reunions. The 'Scarborough Affair' home is situated on a 17,600 square ft. triple lot, six (6) blocks from the beach. This is the ultimate in vacation privacy. The 30x15 in-ground heated pool (in season) is a fabulous retreat. In the evenings enjoy the illuminated pool (on timer) and the tranquility of the yard and gardens with added ambient lighting throughout the pergolas. The interior entertaining spaces are open, light and airy and filled with a mix of antique, designer and casual beach furnishings. The open floor plan is perfect for daily family gatherings. The first floor living space has beautiful Mahogany floors throughout, and walls of floor-to-ceiling French doors and windows overlooking the multi-level deck and rear gardens with pool.
The kitchen is fully-equipped for entertaining with stainless steel appliances including a gas range w/electric convection oven. There are multiple dining areas and you can easily accommodate 12 at the main table - 20 using the granite kitchen bar area. The all season glass porch dining seats 4 to 8, and the rear deck dining, overlooking the yard and pool, seats 12-18 so you can dine under the stars whenever you like. The 15x24 foot screened porch just off the living area has been glassed in with air conditioning and heating and boasts the original brick floor and vaulted cedar ceiling with 60 " fan and large L-shaped sectional, large flat screen TV, and dining area - great for relaxing after a day at the beach. You can also enjoy our private, open-air outdoor shower with hot and cold running water.
The lower level serves as lovely private quarters for an entire family or a space for the kids. It has an additional family room with large flat screen TV, 2 bedrooms (one queen and one w/a twin and set of bunks), small dining area, kitchenette with microwave and extra refrigerator (no stove) and full bath.
There are two king bedrooms on the main floor level and one full bath. The second level has 4 additional bedrooms including the spacious master bedroom suite with a King sleigh bed and en-suite bath with vaulted ceilings. Other bedrooms on the second level include 1 queen, 1 w/queen and twin which connects to the 4th bedroom with a double. In addition to the King en suite, there are 2 additional full baths on this level. Parking off street for 5 cars plus 3 City of Rehoboth street parking permits provided. This is truly a one-of-a kind private beach retreat!
