Worst vacation we have ever had. Couldn’t have our luggage carry-on, on the property. Couldn’t use our personal beach umbrella. Made use put it behind the paid chairs and umbrellas. The pools are small and located in terrible areas. Air conditioner wasn’t working properly; couldn’t sleep. They make the pictures of the property seem better than what it is.

I'm very sorry that you are upset the the HOA doesn't allow trailers to be stored on property. The home was completely renovated last year and the properties photos are very accurate as they are only one year old. Being asked to move your trailer really upset you and I'm sorry that it ruined the remainder of your stay. You are allowed to use a personal umbrella on the beach but not allowed to set up in front of the beach service chairs. We do appreciate your business.
Very nice home in gated community, very spacious and well decorated. The home is just inside the gate of the community and I was concerned about the highway noise level but once you are inside the home you are not able to hear the highway. The walk to the beach is manageable but if you have smaller children and have lots of item that you are taking to the beach it would be more difficult. There is a wagon at the home to use to help with taking items to the beach but there are several steps on the beach access which would make it difficult to utilize the wagon. There are beach chairs, umbrellas and beach toys at the home but we found it easier to just rent chairs and umbrella from the beach rather than having to take them ourselves everyday. There are several homes in the community that have gulf carts and this would be a recommended addition to this rental as it is one the homes furthest from the beach. My only complaint is that the driveway is very narrow and there are bushes on the sides of the driveway and it makes it very hard to get in and out of the car. I think this home is probably best suited for a family with older children. Would stay here again.

Thank you so much for your review! We have owned the home for 2 years now and reviews really help us make adjustments where we can. Thanks for mentioning the bushes along the driveway. They have been on our to-do list! We will be removing them in August. We would love to offer the use of a golf cart. Our HOA actually prohibits the use for anyone other than the homeowner. Unfortunately, these other homes are most likely violating this rule. If this rule ever does change we would absolutely add this as an amenity for our guests. Although it is a short walk to the beach, we totally get when you are carting a lot of beach gear and kiddos it feels like a lot. Right before the boardwalk is parking. Many people seem to prefer loading up the car with the kiddos and gear and parking at the boardwalk for the day. Most if not all boardwalks have some sort of stairs that you have to maneuver because of the dunes. Ya got to go up and over them :) For anyone who still prefers to walk and wants to utilize the red wagon, the boardwalk on Rue Martine (the street over) is easier and just a tad longer walk. It is more of a ramp to the beach and then stairs down.

I absolutely loved this house. Now, it’s an older home but lots of charm. The decor is adorable and beachy. I felt so relaxed in this house. The driveway is a little nerve racking pulling into in a Honda Odyssey because of the narrowness of the iron gate but I can’t imagine if we’d been in a tahoe or truck. We had everything we needed: tubes, beach chairs, boogie board (though peeling apart it still worked fine), sams toys, beach umbrella, dishes, grill, plenty of trash cans outside, private backyard, and a close pool. The walk to the pool or beach is beautiful, though it felt longer and longer each day in the heat. Lovely rich gated safe neighborhood. Strict hoa rules but keeps the streets looking beautiful. Loved the location though in peak season it can be difficult to pull out of the neighborhood with a construction, but imagine this will help the flow of traffic once completed. We would definitely stay again!

Kimberly,
Thank you so much for this great 5-star review! We're thrilled that you enjoyed the home and the thought the owners have put into it! We can't agree more on how beautiful the neighborhood is! Our business owner used to live in the Caribe community as well! We're counting down the days until the road construction is over, that will be a glorious day for locals and visitors alike! Thank you again for the kind review and we hope to host you again in the future!

This was a wonderful beach vacation home. It is an easy walk to the beach and convenient to grocery stores, dining and shopping. The neighborhood feels secluded and is a lovely, quiet area. The home is beautiful and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay!
The home is darling and decorated beautifully. The neighborhood is very quiet as not every house is rented out. The walk to the beach was nice because the street is pretty and you don't have to cross any roads. The pool is on the way to the beach too. You can drive your car to the end of the neighborhood and unload your beach supplies. There are a shower and restrooms there as well. The house, however, has no yard and backs right up to the tennis courts. There are some chairs out back (you have to go through the master bedroom) but sitting out there in the morning isn't really peaceful because you can hear all the hits and grunts from the tennis players. We had asked about a grill being on the property and were told the owner was purchasing one by the time we got there. However, there was no grill. (that is something we love to do in Florida) That was a bit irritating because we had ordered groceries ahead of time and purchased meat to grill. However, We were able to borrow one from a friend who lives locally. While the house is decorated beautifully, it wasn't very homey. There is seating in the living room for only 3 people..2 on the couch and 1 on the chair. It would have been nice and more conversational to have a second couch. In other homes we have stayed in they have games and leave a notes about things to do in the area and suggestions of places to eat with menus, etc. There wasn't anything like that here. That felt a little sterile to us. It is a good house for a couple with say, 2 pre-teen girls. We have 4 boys and with no yard and limited seating in the living room, it got small for us. Overall, a very nice place though.

Thank you so much for your review. We value our vacationer’s feedback and do our best to make everyone’s stay as enjoyable as possible. Our apologies for the mix-up on the grill. We love to grill as well and do understand that grilling can be part of the whole vacation experience. We now have a new Weber gas grill ready to go for the next group. Taking your feedback into consideration, we have added additional living room seating for comfort. We love that your family enjoys board games and thought this was a great suggestion! We have added several of the classics like Monopoly, Scrabble, and Jenga to name a few. We also will be updating our welcome email to include more entertainment suggestions as well as local restaurant suggestions. We are sorry our yard was not big enough for your 4 boys to play in. As a beach house, we find most of our guests prefer playing on the beach, exploring the town, or swimming at the pool. We hope that you enjoyed your stay regardless and will be back to the area again in the future.

It is a wonderful house. It is very comfortable. The only drawback was the TV. We were able to access Hulu through our account one time and it would not work after that. Everything you need is there. I would stay there again.

Great Location
Enjoyed our stay and the location of the property. The home is decorated very nice and we loved the high ceilings. The convenience to the shops and dining is really nice. The beach access is very nice and a lot less crowded since it’s private. This property sits near the front gate so the walk isn’t bad, but if you’re carrying chairs and beach gear it can be challenging. It was easier for us to load the car and drive down to the parking area by the lake. I noticed some of the other properties offered beach service and had golf cart access. Overall great vacation that went by way too fast!
