Welcome to The Blissful Bear, a highly desirable cabin perfect for family gatherings and adventure seekers alike. Nestled in a serene setting, this pet-friendly retreat offers everything you need for an unforgettable stay, blending comfort and fun.
The cabin is situated in a peaceful neighborhood, close to outdoor activities, hiking trails, and local attractions, nature and the excitement of nearby adventures.
The moment you turn down the quiet mountain road and Blissful Bear Cabin comes into view, you know you’ve arrived somewhere special. Sunlight hits the handcrafted logs and castle-style stonework, and suddenly it feels less like a rental and more like stepping into a storybook lodge tucked deep in the forest. Inside, the great room glows with warm timber, sweeping mountain views, and the crackle of a stone fireplace that makes everyone instinctively drop their bags and exhale. Someone starts a pot of coffee in the chef’s kitchen while others wander downstairs to explore the game room, the massive movie theater, and all the entertainment usually reserved for a resort. It’s easy to imagine laughter around the long dining table, kids disappearing into adventures, friendly pool battles, movie marathons, and stargazing from the hot tub as the meadow settles into night. Blissful Bear isn’t just a cabin—it’s the gathering place for the trips your group will talk about for years, and the memories that turn into tradition.

Foosball
Classic Atari-style gaming table with 1,200 games from the ’80s

Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, and 300+ DVDs
Professional karaoke system that projects lyrics on the big screen
XBOX 360
Streaming movies, TV shows, and SPORTS
It’s truly a movie-night (or game-night!) lover’s dream.
Outdoor Spaces – Relaxation & Mountain Views
Step outside the downstairs sliders to a patio with a ping-pong table, or unwind in the sunken hot tub on the deck overlooking the fenced yard and rolling meadows beyond.

Outdoor kitchen with 42" grill
Seating for 12
Fire pits for evening gatherings
*The front yard also includes a pergola-covered seating area with its own fire pit — the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine after a day of exploring.

My family and I had a lovely stay at the Blissful Bear. The house has a lot of room for a lot of people and there are so many things to do. The community is lovely. The owner is very kind and responsible and was quick to respond to our questions. He also addressed things that needed fixing ASAP. A great place to get away from city life!

This house was amazing
We stayed for the weekend and it was fantastic. The layout of the house was great. This house is perfect for big groups of people. Living room and bedrooms upstairs with a great deck for overlooking the trees. Downstairs was the game room with just about anything you could think of. Plenty of games to play, a pool table, air hockey and foosball. The theater was incredible! It was huge!
Outside was a ping-pong table on the downstairs patio with the spa looking out to the trees. The property is all enclosed which was perfect for our dog.
Dave and Nikki both were incredibly helpful with everything and so so nice.
We look forward to coming back!!!

Thank you for Staying with us Grace. You and your family and your awesome pittie are always welcome at our place!
Dave was great to work with and very accommodating to our needs. The house was perfect for 4 families with lots of little kids. All the kids loved the play room and movie theater. Of course the adults loved it too, but this feature really kept toddlers busy. The rooms are a little small, but nothing that is unmanageable, as there is plenty of space throughout the house to spread out. I’d love to stay at this property again in the snow, as it has a perfect backyard for kids to sled on property. This is a great year round cabin.

Long needed family vacation June 2022
This cabin is a must for large groups. Our family of 16 including three small dogs, had plenty of room to spread out and do just about anything. The only time we was all gathered together was when we was eating ;) The owner, Dave, was great and was always available by text if we had a question. Thank You Dave
We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Dave and Shannon! Perfect for a family gathering with lots of activities to engage in and bond as a family. We enjoyed Karaoke, Pool table and games together along with lots of wonderful meals together at the large Blissfull Bear dining table. Such a wonderful time. We are looking forward to next year. Thank you.
We loved that they provide almost every thing you would need for your stay
Kitchen is fully stocked. Definitely no need to bring disposable plates or cups as there are plenty the even provide dishwasher pods so you dont have to worry about doing the dishes. I would bring an electric griddle if you have a big group and want to make pancakes. The movie room is awsome our kids didn't want to leave
The house was very spacious with a lot of entertainment. Our family had a great time; definitely one of the better cabins we’ve stayed at in Big Bear. The host and property manager were very accommodating and ensured everything was to our liking. Would definitely recommend.
We had an incredible stay and are so appreciative of the hospitality of our host. The home is wonderful and the kids had a great time! It was an incredible experience to bring our family and extended family together for the holidays.
This was the perfect place for our family. The game room was a favorite with our five kids and the kitchen was a big hit with my chef husband. A few minor issues but all in all we loved our trip and would definitely visit again.
Dave and his crew were wonderful! They were extremely responsive via text during our stay. The property is great (and clean), just like the photos. We enjoyed the vast array of activities and ample space for our group of 15 to have fun. The Eagle’s nest was great for my boyfriend and I because our two small dogs wake up earlier than most and we didn’t want to disturb the group. That privacy was a plus.
We hope to stay here again soon! Thanks so much!

It was very nice to host you and your group, Angelina. Hope you had a great Bday too... See you next year!
The home is gorgeous with plenty of space and activities to spend your time. The game room is amazing! I’m sure everyone will find something they enjoy.
I really liked how the upstairs bathroom was separated into shower room and a toilet room so large groups could use either without the worry of taking the other from another guest.
The best part was the owner and property manager. The owner was quick to respond with my questions before my stay and provided a wealth of information on how to control the various media in the home. The property manager was the same during our stay. I had trouble with locking a door and she helped immediately.
Finally, when I lost an item they searched the entire house and the street for it. They certainly didn’t have to, but that just shows how great a stay at the Blissful Bear is!!
My whole family hopes to come again soon. They wanted more time there than just a weekend!

This is so great to hear, Amy! We really do our very best to make sure our guests have a good time here at The Blissful Bear and it makes us so happy when our guests are happy and have everything they need! We loved hosting you and your family and hope to have you all back in the near future! All our best!
So glad your kids had fun in the game room and theater! We have fun in those rooms, too. We would love to host you all again in the future - and this time stay longer! :)
This is a great place for family memories to be made. The house has plenty of room.
The location is ideal for a family get-to-gather. The main floor of the house is ideal to socialize while cooking and eating a great meal. The barbecue on the deck is located near the kitchen and dining room so it is easy to manage. The game room was a hit for the whole family with the theater room with 500 movies available was a windfall of joy.
We plan on returning in the future.

Hi Earl and Debbie! So glad you enjoyed the cabin and that the layout and amenities worked out for all of you! So glad you plan to come back - we look forward to hosting all of you again!
We celebrated our 50th anniversary with family members in this wonderful cabin. 50 years ago there were two. We moved to Louisiana and reared our family. We returned to Big Bear with seven family members and made wonderful memories here again. The game room and theater room was a hit. We had snow on the ground and two guys even braved the cold to go into the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked and our stay was great. Thanks Nikki for meeting us and giving us the grand tour.
Would definitely stay here again and recommend your cabin.

The perfect cabin!
After years of booking cabins in big bear, I finally found the perfect place for my family and friends! We booked this cabin to celebrate my 30th birthday. Plenty of space for 15 people to sleep very comfortably. This cabin has something for everyone. The movie room was amazing! My young cousins loved watching movies and karaoke. Tons of games and entertainment, we primarily came to town to ski, but after dealing with the crowds on the ski hill we opted to spend our second day enjoying the cabin. Very easy to contact our host, Dave. He contact me by text which I really appreciate and was easy to communicate with. Everything in this cabin was labeled and easy to use. HUGE bonus was that my furry friends were allowed to stay for a 50$ fee. I love my dog and leaving her behind wasn’t an option. We will be back! Thank you for everything Dave.

Excellent property. Perfect for large families.
We had a great time again staying at the Blissful Bear. The house has a great game room and theater room that keeps the kids/teens busy when they are in the house. We always stay with a fairly large group of family and friends and we never feel cramped or tight on space. The kitchen is well stocked and we are able to cook for everyone easily. The owner Dave was very helpfull and very responsive to any questions I had about our stay. I appreciated his hospitality and thoughtfulness. We are already looking forward to our annual Big Bear weekend and staying at the Blissful Bear again.
