About the host
Hosted by Teri
I live in Louisville and can reach this little get-a-way in 1 1/2 hrs. It is great to be so close and have only a short drive there and especially when it's time to return home. The problem is, I never want to leave it!
Why they chose this property
This cabin is unlike many that we had previously seen. The pine walls make you feel like your in a cabin and not another home. There is no drywall. My favorite spot is the front porch that overlooks nothing but a canopy of trees. In the evening, with the flood lights on, you are so close to the trees that it feels like a treehouse.
What makes this property unique
The privacy of this cabin is another unique feature that we love. Sitting on the front porch and enjoying our morning coffee while listening only to birds singing is very relaxing. You do not see any neighbors, or multiple sets of staircases transcending the landscape.
Our boat dock is in a cove by itself. No other docks, or people. This gives us a large swim and boating area in which to play. We also enjoy reading and relaxing on the dock under the umbrella. You can see many beautiful birds and sunsets from the dock, over the lake. There was an eagle nest close by this past summer.
