We take great pride in providing our guests a clean comfortable home to relax & unwind.
The Sonoran Sea Resort has 3 pools, 1 is heated in the winter, 2 jacuzzi's and just steps away from Sandy Beach with turquoise waters in the Sea of Cortez.
The Sonoran Sea Resort has the best restaurant in town on premises and many others within walking distance, BBQ grills, tennis/pickle-ball courts, workout facility and much more.

We have stayed at Sonoran Sea many times, but this is the first time we have booked this unit. Highly recommend! The unit is beautiful, well maintained, and equipped with everything you need. The owner Grace is fantastic to work with! She's very helpful, responsive, thoughtful, and professional. We will definitely book again! Thanks for everything.

Fantastic condo

Condo was everything we had hoped it would be. Our first time there, but not our last. Everything there, only need food, and of course drinks! Can't beat the view, we were there in mid January. You can see the sunrise and sunset from the deck. Will definitely be back. Resort was not overrun with people, and very clean. The restaurant had some of the best seafood I've had, and it was cheap.

Great area, host was prompt with replies to my questions. Condo was stocked with the necessities. I really like the keyless lock. Only issue you can’t get in condo early as it is programmed for a certain time.

I have stayed here twice now

I chose to stay here a second time because of how amazing the first stay was. It was perfect for my three daughters and I. In the extra room there are two full size beds and across is a nice sized bathroom. The furniture is beautiful and updated. The master bedroom and bathroom are clean and comfortable. They have 3 tvs with access to Netflix and etc. the patio is a great size and the view is gorgeous. The kitchen is well equipped although I don’t cook much 😜the family I stayed with stayed in a condo that they were very disappointed in. It’s very important to go off ratings and this condo has great ones! Thanks Grace, we will stay again.

Sonoran Sun with a Great View

Overall my family enjoyed the visit. Pros: Fantastic view. All of the rooms are so close to the beach compared to most of the Sandy Beach properties. The AC was cold. Plenty of pots, pans, and utensils. I liked that security allowed the kids to have fun in the pool unlike Las Palomas which is too strict. Also allowed coolers by the pool so you could bring your own beer. Used the washing machine and dryer everyday, which makes it easier to pack less. Cons: Strong smell of sewer gas in the unit upon arrival. I went to all of the drains and dumped water into them to make sure the P-traps were full. This worked, however I would prefer the owner or housekeeping staff to do this before someone arrives. The appliances worked but are in need of replacement especially the dishwasher racks that are rusted and busted. There was only salt and pepper in the kitchen. I am used to having more spices and other comforts with Puerto Penasco rental condos. Bring your own with you if renting this unit. The pool with the swim up bar was uncomfortably warm. Not sure why it would be heated in June.

From start to finish, my experience working with Grace was exceptional. The condo was very clean! Fully stocked with all the things I needed when cooking. The view from our patio was breathtaking!!! Loved every minute of our stay!!! Thank you!!!

Awesome stay

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grace's property at Sonoran Sea Resort. The location can't be beat as far as restaurants Garufa Steakhouse, Mare Blu Italian Restaurant (about a mile away) and the restaurant on property was really delicious. You almost don't need to go to the Malecon because everything is super close by. There's even a shopping district called "Rodeo Drive" nearby, where the shop owners are not as aggressive as they are in the Malecon. As far as the condo, it's well equipped with everything you need. We had a few hiccups during our stay but Grace was very responsive to our concerns. My only complaint was that the resort's pools were kind of cold, but your body will get used to it after a few minutes. And one of the pools and hot tub were closed. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed our stay. Thank you Grace!

Great apartment by the sea

We stayed for a family beach vacation and thoroughly enjoyed it. The view of the sea is breathtaking and the beach is just downstairs. The restaurant at the resort serves delicious sea food and even delivers to the room. We are looking forward to our next trip to Rocky Point already.

When my husband Rich and I moved to Arizona from New Jersey, we thought we had given up going down the shore. We soon found out about beautiful Sandy Beach in Puerto Penasco aka Rocky Point, only 3 1/2 hours away from home in the Chandler, AZ. Once we took our first trip down, we were hooked! After years of going to Sandy Beach and staying at every resort, we narrowed down our favorite and bought our dream vacation condo at the Sonoran Sea. We invite you to take a vacation spree at The Sonoran Sea and become one of regular guests.

Our Pool Bar Happy Hour specials are Drinks 12-1 pm & 4-5 pm, Taco's 2-3 pm. They also have a great menu. If you choose you can bring your own cooler with drinks/food to the pools, we just ask that you do not bring glass bottles.
We are walking distance to restaurants, nightlife, water activities. Everything you need is right here at The Sonoran Sea.
