The location is perfect, the house was clean and comfortable, and it was so much better than staying in small hotel rooms. We would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful brick shotgun house close to the IBMA festival we were attending. Everything was as advertised. Nice front porch for sitting as well. Highly recommend.
Home was perfect for 6 adults over four nights, convenient to downtown and adjacent to a great neighborhood with breweries and eateries. Host was excellent.
We loved the house and the location. Short drive or walk to get to everything we wanted to do . Owner was great and had everything we needed in the house for us to use. Highly recommend.
The house was wonderful. And Lisa was so quick to respond with messages. The house was adorable and very clean and just minutes to downtown. Totally recommend!!
The house is as advertised. It’s clean, big enough for our family of 7 - including a 6 month old, and the location is close to everything there is to do in the area.
The house was perfect for our group of 6. The location was also convenient with food, shopping, and entertainment options either at a walking distance or a 5-10 min drive from the house; with the remainder of Chattanooga within a 15 min drive. The host is very accommodating and easy to get in touch with. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would seriously consider re-booking for future trips.
My friends gather every year and we are so happy we choose this house! We all had our own bed but we were still together! The house was lovely with the old and new architecture, very comfortable and convenient to SO MANY places! It was a pleasure to stay here and easy to access. We were sad to leave! Thank you for a wonderful respite!
We were in Chattanooga for the IronMan and this location and layout was perfect for our family. It is in a transition location but we never felt unsafe. Parking was a breeze, great to have laundry accessible in the unit and the rooms were well appointed.
Five ladies visited together for a reunion, and we loved all having our own beds! Convenient and central location, lots of kitchen stuff, as needed. Our favorite was enjoying coffee together in the living room or front porch. It’s an older home, so if you are on record heat days, then plan for hot air to rise and the second floor sometimes struggles to stay cool. Location is heavily populated, and you will hear outside noises, but it wasn’t wild.Comfortable, convenient, would stay again.
Nicely remodeled house that was close to our events. Had everything we needed. Busy road at night and we are not used to traffic noise.

About the host
Hosted by Lisa Brown
Chattanooga has been incredibly special to me, and the MLK neighborhood in particular holds a unique place in my heart. When I first invested in this home, I saw more than just a property — I saw a neighborhood with history, character, and tremendous potential.
Over the years, I’ve continued investing in additional homes in the MLK area because I truly believe in its growth, its residents, and its future. It’s been exciting to watch the neighborhood evolve while still preserving its authentic character.
My commitment goes beyond property ownership. I joined the MLK Neighborhood Board several years ago because I wanted to be actively involved in supporting the community and advocating for its continued improvement. Being part of the board has allowed me to champion responsible growth while honoring the neighborhood’s history and the people who call it home.
Hosting guests here allows me to share a part of Chattanooga that I genuinely care about. My goal is to provide a clean, comfortable, and well-managed home where visitors can enjoy everything downtown has to offer while experiencing one of the city’s most dynamic and historic areas.
I’m grateful to be part of this community and look forward to welcoming you.
Why they chose this property
I chose the MLK neighborhood because I saw its potential long before much of the growth began. It’s one of Chattanooga’s most historic and centrally located areas, and I was drawn to its character, architecture, and proximity to downtown, the Riverfront, and UTC.
What started as one investment quickly turned into several because I genuinely believe in this neighborhood and its future. I’ve watched it evolve thoughtfully over the years, and it’s been exciting to be part of that progress while still honoring the history and long-time residents who make it special.
My commitment goes beyond owning property here. I joined the MLK Neighborhood Board years ago because I wanted to actively support responsible growth and advocate for the community. I care about this neighborhood, the people in it, and the experience guests have when they visit.
This isn’t just a place I invested in — it’s a place I believe in.
What makes this property unique
This isn’t just a rental — it’s a thoughtfully restored historic home in the heart of Chattanooga that blends character, comfort, and location in a way that’s hard to find.
Unlike newer builds, this home has original architectural charm, warm hardwood floors, and inviting gathering spaces — but with the modern updates today’s travelers expect. We’ve carefully preserved its history while upgrading it for comfort, convenience, and a seamless guest experience.
The layout is ideal for families and small groups: private sleeping spaces upstairs and open, connected living areas downstairs that make spending time together easy and natural.
And then there’s the location — you’re truly walkable to UTC and just minutes from downtown dining, attractions, and the riverfront, yet tucked into a neighborhood setting that feels relaxed and residential.
We’ve intentionally designed this home to feel welcoming, clean, and cared for — the kind of place where guests slow down, enjoy coffee on the porch, and leave saying, “We’d absolutely stay here again.”
