Ridgedale Roost. The exquisite home on Missionary Ridge.
Ridgedale Roost is a new house built in 2019. Gray Gables is to the right and Kathy's Kottage is located to the left. It is close to downtown and easy to get anywhere with the interstate only miles away. The battle of Missionary Ridge was fought on these grounds...no ghosts! I have found bullets, shot, and cannon balls on the property. The large front porch is great for lounging. The back patio is where you can grill some burgers and listen to the birds singing. This is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. It has quartz counter tops and is nicely decorated. I have made sure to have all the kitchen amenities in case you want to cook. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy time with your friends and family. I live across the street and the garden is located behind the "eyeball" wall. Feel free to wander the old 3 tiered garden and enjoy the downtown views while you sit on the bench and watch the goldfish swim in the Mermaid fountain pond. Listen to the sweet sound of the birds and watch the sunset behind Lookout Mountain as you let the stress leave you and remember days gone by. Dogs are welcome with a FENCED in back yard. My insurance will not allow Pit bulls, Rotwielers, Chows, or Dobermans, or of these in mixed breeds. There is a 2 dog limit, females most be sprayed. There is a firepit. I am not able to offer a military discount. Please do not ask for a late check out. I respect that my cleaners have lives other than just cleaning my rentals. Feel free to stay another day. Thank you!

Great location for a weekend stay for a wedding. Had everything we needed, was clean, and well decorated! Host greeted us when we arrived and was helpful and kind.
We enjoyed our girls’ trip to this adorable home. It was clean, nicely appointed, and stocked with everything we needed. Added bonus, Miss Tammy was delightful! She has renovated nearly the entire block of cute homes and was responsive and helpful. If you get the chance, be sure to visit with her and get her recommendations for food and activities. We will stay at one of her properties again when we return to the area.
She had everything we needed plus some for our large family. The home was beautiful and cozy. We rented two homes to accommodate our 12 out of state/town family members. We had plenty of room to eat and get ready for the big event..
Tammy's decor was adorable and there was something for everyone, I packed things for our dog that she had available so that was a nice touch. We met Tammy and she was so nice and told us her story of how she became a host. She's a great host and her property is highly recommended.
My spouse needed knee surgery, the home is 5 minutes from the hospital. Very convenient location. The house was equipped with everything we needed with an added bonus of a cute front porch. We were there for rest and relaxation . Very quiet neighborhood. Lovely stay.
We stayed for just a few nights while celebrating my younger sister's wedding. It was a great location to downtown Chattanooga and a 5 minute drive from the rest of the bridal party. It was very cute and filled all of our needs. For sure want to plan a trip to return with our family to celebrate and visit Chattanooga again.
From the moment we arrived, Tammy was there to greet us and was so kind and accommodating. We immediately felt at home once inside, and the property is well stocked and pet friendly. You are 10 minutes from anything in Chattanooga, and the area is definitely in the process of being gentrified from all the new construction and cool businesses, coffee shops, and restaurants in the area. Tammy has a lot of information from attractions and restaurants on pamphlets and menus in the house. We absolutely loved the house and when in the area would definitely stay again. Five stars all around!
Our families from Indiana and North Carolina came to Chattanooga for quick getaway and loved this cottage! We sat out on the porch and enjoyed coffee in the morning and some wine and whiskey in the afternoon. Its location makes it easy to get to Chattanooga attractions. The host had everything we needed and made it a truly wonderful stay.
We were pleasantly surprised by this lovely home. Each bedroom had its own style. The home was clean and fresh. Our favorite extra was the big basket of toys. It was like Christmas morning for our granddaughter
We had a sweet visit to this property. It is a small neighborhood that is very friendly and we had no problems the whole stay. The house was decorated for Christmas and it was very clean and festive. This is a good sized property and our family of 5 had plenty of room. There were even toys for our Granddaughter. We met the property owner who was a delight and made sure of our comfort and asked if we had any problems she could solve! We would definitely recommend this property.

About the host
Hosted by Tammy Hass
I have lived in the neighborhood since 1978. I rented in the old house where the current one is and walked to work. Even in the snow! I own the majority of the street with long and short term rentals. I do live across the street where the yard games and gardens are located.
Why they chose this property
I had this specifically build for you! There are 2 other short term rentals on the block, Gray Gables and Kathy's Kottage, for big family events.
What makes this property unique
The city of Chattanooga is experiencing rapid redevelopment, economic growth, and what some call "gentrification". This means that if you stay in the city, you are likely to be on a street with a wide variety of properties, ranging from very good condition, to fair, to vacant. In addition, there is great racial, cultural, and economic diversity with city residents. I live across the street and love it here, but it may not be for everyone. I want all guests to consider this prior to booking, so no unfavorable review result.
