25 km from Carcassonne, CAUNES MINERVOIS, very pleasant village at the foot of the BLACK MOUNTAIN, all shops: grocery store, newsagent, bakery, numerous restaurants, doctors, pharmacy.

Ideal for 2-3 people, you have an apartment of 65 m2 on the ground floor of our villa for a pleasant, relaxing and peaceful discovery stay, and the possibility of parking your vehicle.

A main living room-kitchen of 36m2, equipped American kitchen (washing machine, fridge-freezer, ceramic hob, oven - microwave, dishwasher, and all the kitchen utensils necessary for a pleasant stay.
Library lounge area, television, sofa, free WIFI access.

1 bedroom: 140 bed, 2 bedside tables, chest of drawers and wardrobe.

Shower room, walk-in shower, WC.

A pleasant garden with a lovely view over the village, where you can take your meals or sunbathe (2 sun loungers available).

We share our barbecue (wood provided) and our swimming pool.

In Caunes Minervois, you can stroll through the medieval alleys, discover the Romanesque Abbey, the red marble quarries, and feast in these many restaurants. Many departures from hiking or mountain biking are available.

Nearby, you can visit: the city of CARCASSONNE (its magnificent fireworks on July 14), the Canal du Midi, the Cathar castles, the very pretty villages steeped in history, Narbonne, Béziers, Montpellier, Toulouse, the beaches less than an hour and a thousand other discoveries in the BLACK MOUNTAIN or the PYRENEES, and the new aqua-play area of RIEUX MINEROIS: Les Bains de Minerve.

quit, spacious and lovely

We had a wonderful stay. Christine is very friendly and helpful, especially when our car broke down. The apartment was specious and the environment was nice to be. From the pool a few in the mountains, and in the garden there was sun and shade: what ever you would like. At night there were stars and silence. Caunes-Minervous is a very nice village with serveral restaurant s and a lovely cafe. We hope we can come back some day!

Friendly, quiet place to stay

We were very happy with our choice of Christine's place to stay for our time in Caunes-Minervois. Close to all the amenities of the town but in a clean and quiet environment that made our stay very enjoyable. Christine was very welcoming. From here we did many great walks into the countryside. We explored all the the interesting places in nearby towns and villages. We explored Carcassonne. Limoux, Revel, Castre, Saissac, Bram, Mirepoix, Fanjeaux, Montréal, and many Neolithic sites like Dolmen des Fades. The Aude is a remarkable place. And Caunes is a remarkable village. It is a completely functioning village with stores and resources to meet our needs. It has a number of excellent restaurants, a very active cafe, an ATM, and markets.

Super séjour

La maison est très bien située dans un endroit calme. Une supérette est à 2 minutes à pied. L appartement est très grand et parfaitement équipée. Christine est discrète, disponible et très compréhensive. Tout est parfait.

Very comfortable and well equipped accommodation. Security good with electric gates and shutters. Very peaceful location.The owner (Christine) lives adjacent and is charming! She welcomed us with wine and homemade jam - delicious, we bought 5 jars from her to bring home with us! Village is convenient as a base to many of the towns/villages/attractions in this lovely area. Highly recommended.

Très bon séjour

Très bon séjour à Caunes Minervois petit village calme et près des grands axes, ce qui permet de visiter la région qui est très belle. Très bon accueil (avec petits cadeaux de bienvenue) et tout au long du séjour Mme Pradal n'hésite pas à donner de très bons conseils. L'appartement est calme, propre et bien équipé. Si l'occasion se présente je n'hésiterai pas à recommander cette location.

Bel endroit pour la détente et nos visites de Carcassonne et Narbonne

Charmant appartement au rez de chaussé de la propriétaire qui est très aimable et qui s'assure que nous soyons bien. Belles grandes pièces, vous ne vous sentirez pas à l'étroit. Réellement tranquille mais seulement à environ 20 minutes de Carcassonne en auto. Le seul point négatif, s'il en est un; nous avons trouvé que le matelas était trop dur à notre gout ! Mais c'est une question de gout.

agréable séjour chez Mme Pradal

Excellent accueil avec un panier de bienvenu (une bouteille de vin et un pot de confiture fait maison). Personne très discrète. Un plus, car les serviettes de toilettes et les draps sont fournis (lits faits à l'arrivée). Dommage que l'on capte mal les chaines de télévision mais ce n'est pas trop grave! Un bon signal wifi. Un plus avec la piscine ( pas très grande)

Superbe séjour dans une magnifique région

Nous avons passé un séjour des plus agréable dans la région de Caunes Minervois. Une semaine juste parfaite, la location est idéale, Mme Pradal est discrète et toujours disponible pour de bons conseils. Un grand merci, nous avons hâte de revenir, nous ne pouvons que recommander ce petit bout de paradis.

Christine est très accueillante et nous a donné un cadeau en arrivant et nous a invités prendre un apéritif en partant. L’appartement est très propre, bien équipe, confortable et conforme à la description. Caunes est une belle ville avec beaucoup de chose à faire et le logement est très est bien situe pour visiter la belle ville de Caunes à pied, promener dans les montagnes et visiter la région. Nous allons retourner !

Lovely location with a great owner.

First off the owner - Christine was an absolute gem. We were staying for 7 nights and on the sixth day were notified by Ryanair that our return flight was cancelled. Christine arranged for us to stay an extra 2 nights and even printed out our new boarding passes for the Saturday flight. The house is located just of the edge of the centre of the town with views across the town, easy walk to shops and restaurants and very quiet. We were working on a house in the centre of the old town so having a fully equipped place to return to in the evening for a shower and being able to wash clothes was really useful. The house has everything you'll probably need including WiFi and though not upmarket is spotlessly clean with comfy bed, heating and a great rental at the rate. Going back in four weeks time - says it all!

Quiet well appointed property close to amenities and sites

Christine could not have been more helpful, even coming back from a friends party when we had difficulty locating the property on the first night. Property itself is well appointed with good kitchen facilities and plenty of space. Lots to see locally and there are a number of nice restaurants in the village, especially Emilie's. Only down side is mattress needs to be replaced as has a dip in the middle and property would benefit from it's own BBQ, there is a shared one.

I welcome all of my customers comments. The bed has been replaced. I am sorry we missed it while preparing the apartement, unfortuned the damage to bed frame was not noted by the prior guests. Anytime their is a problem I attempt to address it quickly.

Un pur bonheur

Location très bien située dans un charmant petit village. Vous serez surpris par le calme qui se dégage. Cette location est extrêmement bien équipée et la piscine est vraiment un plus. Madame Pradal vous accueille avec bonne humeur et est de très bon conseil (visites, Resto...) Pour ma part, j'ai passé une semaine exceptionnelle tant au niveau de la location que du village et j'ai été ravie de partager un super petit dîner avec Madame Pradal. Je ne pense pas que l'on puisse être déçu. Encore merci et peut être à l'année prochaine. Anais Devillers
