Beautiful Home on Lake Hartwell
Looking for the perfect family getaway? Then this beautiful home on Lake Hartwell is the one for you! Vaulted ceilings with lots of windows provide great lake views from the house or the two covered decks. The open kitchen plan has a table that seats eight comfortably and a table on the deck just outside seats four more. The pine floors and ceiling in the living area, along with the stacked stone fire place give the house a mountain feel but its just a short, easy walk to the dock.
The master bedroom on the main level of the house provides lake views, a king-sized bed, TV with satellite, and private bath. A bonus room (equipped with a single bed with trundle) and half bath are also located on the main level. The large open living area features lake views, a queen sleeper sofa and 46 inch TV with satellite and DVD/VCR player. And WiFi.
The upstairs features two bedrooms, a full bath and a large loft area. One bedroom has bunk beds with a double on the bottom and single on top and the other bedroom has a queen bed.
The newly finished basement features two sets of twin bunk beds, a full bath and laundry area on one side. The other side provides a ping pong table, air hockey table, and comfortable seating area with 70” TV.
The double decker dock sits at the beginning of a quiet cove that allows for children to play safely in the water. The dock also features a single boat slip, swim deck and covered area on the top deck. We also provide 2 Kayaks for guest to use. Owner's boat is on a lift in the slip but there is plenty of room for two more boats on either side of the dock.
A fire pit just steps from the house allows for plenty of family time roasting marshmallows or just unplugging.
It's just a short drive to Harbor Light Marina (where you can rent boats and jet skis) or to Tugaloo State Park which has a beach area, picnic area, miniature golf, and other amenities. Toccoa Falls and shopping in Toccoa is only a 15 minute drive from the house. Helen Georgia is less than an hour drive away with plenty of unique restaurants, shops and other activities including a water park and river tubing.

My wife and I got married in 1997 and have lived in Athens GA. for most of our lives. Our children are Peyton (20) and Tristan (15). I am a real estate invester and my wife works for the University doing training. We love to travel, snow ski, scuba dive and just hang out at the lake.
Why they chose this property
We chose to buy our house at the lake because we loved the area and it is only a 1 hour drive from our house in Athens. Lake Hartwell is a beautiful lake with a feel of being in the foothills. Fishing is great and it is such a large lake so there is plenty to explore.
What makes this property unique
Our house is convient to I-85 and easy to get to from Atlanta. There are parks nearby and plenty to explore. Our dock has a party deck and can accomidate a large family compfortably. It is in a wooded area that allows for plenty of privacy.
