This lovely home is furnished with the intrinsic beauty of water color - from the greys of the Atlantic to the shimmering blue sparkles from the backyard pool by day, or dazzling LED colors at night. Decor in each room is subtle and relaxing, with grays, greens, and blues throughout. The signature touch inside the house is the growing collection of watercolor paintings by artists including Alan Casey, and others. Most of the art was painted on the island by artists who loved Saint Simons Island.

THE SPACE
The house has 4 bedrooms:

~ 1 Primary Bedroom: Downstairs Primary: California King, attached bathroom, 47" smart TV, private bath with a shower and dual vanities.

~ 1 Primary Bath: Attached Primary Bath with walk-in shower and dual vanities

~ 2 Grammie's Room: Upstairs "Grammie's Room" - Queen, smart TV, attached bathroom 2, walk-in closet

~ 3 Mermaid Room: Upstairs Mermaid Room - two twins

~ 4 Pirate's Room: Upstairs Pirates Room - Queen bed and 2 twin bunks

~ 2 Upstairs Full Bath: Bath with shower/tub combo attached to Grammie's Room and accessible from other upstairs bedrooms.

~ 3 Downstairs Full Bath: Full bathroom on the first floor

~ Kitchen: classic 1938 style, with modern stainless appliances. Gas cooktop, dishwasher

The private pool is 13' x 27' - long enough to swim laps and wide enough for the whole family to splash together. The pool is 3'6" deep on the shallow end and 5'6" on the deep end. It features bench seating on each end. For an additional fee of $75/day+tax the pool can be heated during your stay.

You may never leave the back yard! But if you do, it will certainly be to stroll down to the beautiful Saint Simons beach, just 156 steps from the front porch to the sand. When you get back from a day at the beach, enjoy our heated outdoor shower before dipping again in the pool! In fact you may enjoy all of your showers in the outdoor shower.

Note: Starting July 2026 there is a new home being built two houses down. I've adjusted rates to reflect there may be noise at times.

Updates not photographed: We've removed the wall between the kitchen and dining room and removed the popcorn ceilings downstairs.

Located on the south end of the Island, St. Simons Pier Village district serves as the downtown social hub and is a popular destination for shopping, dining and gathering on the pier and nearby lighthouse, playground and picnic areas. Overlooking the ocean and Jekyll Island across the way, you'll find the St. Simons Lighthouse and Museum, Neptune Park with its ocean side pool and facilities, playground, miniature golf course, and an oak shaded picnic area, fishing pier, public library and theater.

Beach Gear Included!: This home offers beach gear such as beach chairs and beach towels FREE for your use! Bikes, carts, paddleboards and more are available for rent locally, discount included. There are no fees or surcharges attached to your reservation.

Legacy Collection Home: This home is part of the Lighthouse Legacy Collection, a celebrated group of St. Simons Island's original beach cottages. Built in the 1930s and 1940s, these homes have been thoughtfully restored to preserve their historic character while offering modern comforts and preserving the architectural charm that makes them unique. What makes these cottages special are the features that can't be replicated in new construction—unique floor plans, original architectural details, cozy room proportions, and the charm that comes from decades of island history. As with any historic home, guests may notice differences from a newly built property. Rooms may be smaller, floors and walls may show the character of age, and the layout may reflect a different era of coastal living. Rather than the perfection of a new home, these cottages offer an authentic St. Simons experience filled with warmth, personality, and timeless appeal. If you appreciate history, character, and coastal nostalgia, we invite you to enjoy this special home.

Pets: This home is dog friendly with $150 pet fee, 2 dogs max. Unfortunately we can't host breeds known to insurance carriers as 'vicious', please ask if you're not sure.

Heated Pool: This property offers a heated pool option. The cost is $75/night+tax and can be added up to 48 hours before arrival. Let us know if you'd like to heat the pool!

No Smoking: No smoking is allowed in the home, on the porches/patios/decks, or on the property in general.

Minimum Age: Must be 25 + to book, or age 30 + on GAFL weekend (last weekend in October) For GAFL weekend (last weekend in October), guests must be age 30 + or kids with their parents, no student groups. We cannot make exceptions for that weekend.

No Events: No events or parties. No overnight guests beyond the original booking group.
