This place was awesome - 2 living rooms, huge dining table to accommodate everyone, a cute pool house my kids slept in and the neighborhood was great to walk and bike around - easiest beach entry was goulds inlet a few blocks up. They came and serviced the pool on their own mid week and it stayed sparkling. Would stay again for sure.

Thank you so much for your feedback, Laura. We are so flattered to hear that you guys enjoyed your stay.
loved the beach, loved the pool, lots of room in the house but the sliding glass door needs repair badly and the futon in the family room should have been thrown out years ago

Hi Donna, thanks for staying with us! The sliding glass door has been repaired and we have all new living room furniture. We've also painted everything inside and updated decor - come check out the new 44 Dune!
The furniture in this house was so poor, I am willing to bet that Goodwill would not accept, especially the living room furniture. If I were the owner, I would be embarrassed. There were four older men in this group, visiting St. Simons to play golf. I am certain that if our wives were with us, they would NOT have wanted to stay there.

Hi Rick, thank you for your feedback - we refurnished the house and did tons of updates -come check out the new look - its will be wife-approved!
We loved staying at this house! It was perfect for our two families (4 adults and 4 kids). The house is older but with nice upgrades. Super clean and the communication from the management company was great- both in letting us know things ahead of time and in response to questions we had. The beach entrance is right by the house and leaves you at a low populated area of the beach-. If you have lots to carry I would recommend a heavy duty utility wagon as this is a less used path and little difficult to navigate with a basic wagon. When walking with kids aged 2-8 it took less than 10 minutes, adults only less than 5. We'd stay here again if returning to SSI!
Pool heat was an issue as extra charge daily warranted receiving the benefit. Pool company was called to service after remote fixes did not work the day prior and pool heat changes removed because only had one good morning/afternoon of heated hot tub and pool.

Thanks Penny! Yes pool heat is an option but a nice upgrade for early spring dates.
Perhaps the owner, who had remote control of the pool functions. We paid for the heated pool and spa but the owner controlled when it would work. The result was it worked half the time. The owner also had a camera to make sure no one touched it and had the property manager send us emails to tell us to stay away from the pool equipment. Clearly the control of pool operations is a top priority. The weird thing is that there was dog mess all over the backyard and plenty of it. Upon closer inspection it was obvious that many messes had been there a long time. Plenty of new fresh ones too. If you have time to monitor the pool, cleaning up after the dog should be easy!

Thank you for staying with us! To clarify, we are not controlling the pool during your stay, pool heaters run on a thermostat - turning on and off to maintain the water temperature. We do ask that guests not tamper with pool equipment -its been damaged previously by guests. Thanks for letting me know about the pet issue, we'll take care of it!
