The sunny dining area with wrap-around windows has a slider to a private veranda. And your family will love the 3 king master suites, separate seating areas and sliders to the oceanfront deck. Now there are more areas to take in the magnificent ocean views and majestic sunrises. VANTAGE POINT combines the fantastic sights and sounds of the ocean with a very comfortable, well-decorated interior and an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen. An added advantage, in addition to the adjacent public dune crossing to the beach, is that it is located near the southern tip of Avon, which is quiet, but close to shopping, kiteboarding/windsurfing, ocean/dune crossovers for vehicles and soundside haul-over area.

Property is Great...Relationship between VRBO and Property Manager is not clearly defined

VRBO and Surf and Sound both charged us "Insurance"...the relationship also caused additional billings for "credit card" usage. Should be a better way to conduct the business end of the transaction than last minute surprises with no reasonable solution.

Nice beach vacation location

The house itself was decent enough. Was not cleaned as well as it could have been prior to arrival and had a few other issues that were only addressed by going to the office. Was not able to reach anyone else otherwise. Paid enough fees but still had to clean everything including the refrigerator shelves and empty the dishwasher prior to departure and still found it had not been cleaned properly prior to our own arrival. Overall it was a decent property in a decent location with a great view and wonderful almost people free beach, but you need to climb 2 large dunes to get there.

Nice property with public access to ocean

Beautiful home with lots of windows facing the ocean to view sunrises on the deck, and birds flying over the ocean! Public Access with a Dune walkover was nice. The house is well appointed with 3 Master's with Kings/Baths, another BR with Twins, all on the lower level. Kitchen, Dining, Great Room, Office, Game Room, and Powder Rm on the Upper level with a pull out bed in the Sectional Sofa. No issues with internet, which was a bonus for our grandkids who had to attend classes via Zoom. Just a few things to mention to make this home a GREAT place: the refrigerator was outdated and was not working properly; old GE had Levels 0-9 and on level 5, it was warm and on level 7 it was freezing items in the frig section. Also the ice maker was leaking and freezing over. The other big issue, which we dealt with, was a water pressure issue...if anyone was taking a shower or bath, the water pressure would drop to a trickle in the kitchen and other baths. The bathtub in one of the Master BRs was clogged and would not drain, even though we used a plumber's friend to "attempt" to unclog it. Once the water pressure and drains are cleared, and with a new Refrigerator....we would definitely rent this home again!

Great location, house is as advertised

Great vacation spot if you like the OBX! The pictures shown represent very well. The house is nice, clean and very comfortable. The rental agency was very helpful at every step along the way, one of the best we've worked with! Two things on the somewhat negative side I'll say... 1. The property advertises a pool. However the pool is close to a mile away. Not necessarily a game changer, but it should be more clear in the description. 2. The deposit you pay here on VRBO does NOT go towards the price of the rental (you are basically throwing that money away). This is a first for me. Not a deal breaker, but another one of those "I wish I would have known" things that came up along the way. Not the most professional mode of operation.
