Deco style apartment with double terrace

An elegantly renovated apartment in a building from the 1900s in the heart of historic Catania. The area is that of the Ursino medieval fortress, built by Frederick II who faced the sea and protected the city.

On the first and only floor of the building, this apartment maintains some traditional elements such as the decorated concrete floor and the vault in the bedroom. The interiors have been created directly by the owner and give us a perfect mix of ancient and modern.

The apartment can accommodate a total of four people. There is a double bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living-dining room. An equipped kitchen, a bathroom and two terraces complete the whole and offer a unique experience.

The kitchen is full of accessories, pots, cutlery, plates and glasses. They are equipped with: air conditioning and heating in all rooms, microwave, fridge with freezer, gas oven, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher and washing machine. Included in the price is Wifi, heating and air conditioning.

The roof terrace is equipped with armchairs, table umbrellas and chairs. Our accommodations are cleaned according to post COVID standard procedures and with qualified personnel.

Nice apartment, lovely area

Don’t be put off by the mess walking up to the apartment. It is nicely furnished and nice appliances expresso maker etc. we were told we had to sign a contract by this landlord which we never had to do before and he was short tempered.

Thanks Jayette, that you never signed a rental contract it doesn't mean that is not correct to do it. I suppose i know italian rules a little bit better than you (maybe). You insisted with 1000 questions and aslo you NEVER read the house rules and my messages, and now I am the short tempered. wow :)

très bon séjour

L'appartement est conforme à la description et très bien placé dans Catane (petits détails importants, on peut tout faire à pied et se garer gratuitement facilement). Massimiliano est à l"écoute et sympathique. Nous n'avons pas utilisé la cuisine de manière intensive, donc pas d'avis sur sa complétude. On peut recommander sans problème cette adresse.

Massimiliano was brilliant. He was very welcoming and full of tips on what to do and where to go. He put us in touch woth a tour up mount etna and a winery, which is a must. When alerted to an oversight in the flat he immediately attended to it. Offered help at the end of a phone if needed and organised transport to airport. Very nice man, very nice city!

Pleasant Stay

I am a single mid 30s years old woman that stayed in this apartment for work about 5 weeks during the Christmas holiday season. The apartment was comfortable and within reasonable price. The location was very central, walking distance to restaurants and attractions around the area. There was plenty of free parking surrounding the area. I felt relatively safe in the area. I returned from work every night and never had any problems. But just as any place, at night always watch your surrounding. During the day till about midnight there are plenty of people always walking around. The apartment comes fully equipped with AC or heater. It has cable TV, nice balconies and a fully stocked kitchen ready for cooking nice Italian meals. The owner is a really nice and friendly guy that was always available in case I needed anything. He is willing to negotiate the price and “make you an offer you can’t resist” :) If he was not available he always made sure to have someone to attend to any needs that I had. Last but not least I LOVE Sicily in so many ways and its friendly people! Great Island, must visit!

Nice apartment, but beware of the extra fees

+++ The apartment was really nice (especially the terrace), exactly like on the pictures. Well located, near the center of Catania, the market,... = 5/5 for the apartment itself --- We waited Massimiliano for almost one hour when we arrived. We were on time at the address he gave us, I tried to call him several times, he was not answering, we did not even know if it was the right phone number, and if the apartment existed! After more than 45 minutes, we had to ask someone in the building, who went to find Massimiliano. He finally arrived, just said sorry but did not seem to be that embarrassed about letting us downstairs for one hour with our luggage on our first day in Catania! About the fees: we had already paid for the rent and the deposit via the website, but he asked us 30€ more for the CLEANING of the apartment (it was never specified in the ad nor in the emails he sent!!), and 5€ per day (so 15€ for the 3 nights we were staying in) for the AIR CONDITIONING!!! We had never seen that! We decided not to accept the air conditioning, even if it was really hot in the apartment, because it is unacceptable to ask for this money!! If it is written on the ad that there is the air conditioning in the apartment, it is supposed to be included in the rent! = 3/5 for Massimiliano

Hello Delphine Strange that you have wrote this review in anonymous :) Well I need to correct your version. The check in is generally in the afternoon (read the advert) and you asked me to arrive In the morning. It was ok for me. The day of your arrival you wrote a message where you informed me that you were a bit late. So, yes, I was late also (sorry again for that but I have a job) so you didn't wait for one hour because you were late also and not in time as you say (if you want I send you back the sms that you sent me). Than you came in and I confirmed what is written in the advert : cleanings fees and air conditioning to pay on site. The only problem is that you didn't read the advert. Some people don't want air conditionng so is not right for them to pay it of they don't use it. I hope you understand that. I would have prefered that you talked with me here about this 'misunderstanding' and I would be happy to read with you the advert. Next time, before to book or to buy something, pay attention in the advert and what is written it. Generally people leave my flat happy to had a nice experience because I try all my best to make to feel them relaxed and at home. Sorry that you had this wrong feeling but I'm also sorry to tell you that is everything written clearly in the advert. I really felt sorry about the delay in our meeting but maybe it was not enough for you or maybe you misunderstood just because I smiled at you. For me it's important to welcome people with a smile , maybe not for you. Suggestion : when you rent a flat you have to be awared that you are not going in an hotel so could be possible that guest or host must be late. In this case I was late but many many times I wait for hours my guest when they are late because of flight delayed or just for some other reason and I don't get angry for that. Life is not so perfect as you want :) Best regards.

Fantastic apartment: bright and spacious with 2 newly renovated terrace spaces!

Our stay in Catania was a great experience! Thanks to Massimiliano, we had a wonderful stay in his apartment that was walking distance from all the city centre sights, being located in a lively and popular zone around the medieval castle. The apartment was extremely clean and had all possible amenities, plenty of natural light and a lovely homely feel to it. We were amazed by the newly renovated terraces: the top/roof terrace in particular was great to relax in the sun after a day's touring and we also enjoyed dining in the bottom terrace. Highly recommended!

Appartement très propre, calme et très bien situé, à 5 mn à pied du centre-ville. Le propriétaire est très gentil et aide en cas de problèmes d'intendance. Il manque un peu de lumière dans la salle de bains au-dessus du miroir. Bonne adresse pour un séjour à Catane.

Sehr schön und mitten im historischen Zentrum

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, gemütlich und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht um hier einen tollen Urlaub zu verbringen. Es gibt zwei Terrassen mit Sonne und direkt vor der Haustür befindet sich das erste historische Monument. Die Lage ist genial. In fünf Minuten zu Fuß ist man am Domplatz, dem Hauptplatz von Catania. Zwei Minuten von der Wohnung entfernt beginnt der täglich stattfindende Markt, wo man Obst, Gemüse, Käse, Fleisch und Fisch kaufen kann. Rund um die Wohnung befinden sich Restaurants und kleine Geschäfte. Trotzdem ist sie ruhig. Auch der Hafen ist weniger als 1 km entfernt. Man benötigt hier wirklich kein Auto. Wenn man dennoch eines hat, gibt es hier keine Parkplatzprobleme. Möchte man lieber mit dem Bus unterwegs sein, ist der Busbahnhof auch in 5-10 Minuten zu erreichen und einfach zu finden. Ich habe mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und bei allem sehr hilfsbereit. Er ist immer zu erreichen und gibt auch gerne Tipps für schöne Ausflugsziele. Schade, dass mein Urlaub viel zu schnell zu Ende war. Ich kann die Wohnung sehr empfehlen.

comodo pulitissimo e assolutamente confortevole. il proprietario e i suoi collaboratori sempre cortesi e gentili ma sopratutto a completa disposizione. mi sono trovato benissimo e di certo sarà il mio punto di riferimento ogni qualvolta dovrò recarmi a catania....
