Yellowstone Northern Views -- Gorgeous Home. One mile to Yellowstone!
Yellowstone Northern Views home just completed in 2018. The house sits on a hillside which affords it amazing, unobstructed, views into the northern edge of Yellowstone National Park. (@YellowstoneMontanaHomes)
From the house you may see herds of bison, elk and pronghorn grazing on the hillsides. The Roosevelt Arch which is the northern entrance to Yellowstone can be seen from the Master Bedroom and front deck.
The house itself consists of a Great Room, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and a utility room. The great room has walnut floors, rock fireplace, huge windows for beautiful views, vaulted ceiling, 2 reclining leather sofas and leather chair. The vaulted ceiling and walnut floors continue through to the kitchen with its granite counter tops, farmhouse sink, top of the line appliances, 2 full ovens, lots of cabinet space and a separate pantry.
There are two bedrooms on the upper level. The first bedroom has 1 full bed, the second bedroom has a king-size bed and attached bathroom with glass enclosed, tiled shower. There is an additional full bathroom on the upper level. Both bathrooms have granite counter-tops.
There are two bedrooms on the lower level. One bedroom has a queen sized log frame bed, the other has a king-size bed with an attached bathroom. There is an additional bathroom downstairs, also a separate utility room with washer and dryer.
Smart televisions with DVD players are in every bedroom with an additional TV in the Great Room. A large deck extends across the front of the house on the upper level. You may access the deck from the over-sized glass sliding door and/or single door in the great room or from the glass door of the master bedroom. There are also outside stairs leading from the lower level to the deck. The house has both central heat AND air which is very much appreciated in the summer! Separate thermostats control the upper and lower level. The house is equipped with a Renai system which provides all of the hot water one needs.
Because the house sits on a hillside, you have privacy but are still within walking distance to the town of Gardiner with its restaurants, shopping, grocery store and post office. The walk to the Roosevelt Arch is approximately 1 mile from the house.

WOW!! This house was AMAZING! It was truly one of the best appointed rental homes we've stayed in! The house was so comfortable! The beds and pillows were great! The view from the porch... breathtaking!
Beautiful Mountain Views from a gorgeous property! Lots of room for our family and had everything we needed for our stay. Walking distance to shops and food and close to the park entrance. Would definitely recommend staying here for your trip!
We really enjoyed this property! It was clean, well appointed, and has a great view in all directions. Property owner was friendly and accommodating to our needs. We recommend!
This property has an amazing view of the mountains! The master bedroom is great, and the other bedrooms are also a nice size. The just has done an excellent job of having things on hand that make it seem like youâre at home - ice packs in the freezer, spices, etc.
Another great stay at the Northviews House. Rick is a fantastic host and this house is always the top of the list when Iâm in the area and need some extra space. The beds are comfortable, the space is amazing and the kitchen is the best stocked of any rental I have ever stayed in.
There were 4 of us. We had a wonderful visit. The home had so many extras that are not typical for your average VRBO. The views are spectacular and you canât get too much closer to the Northern Yellowstone Entrance. You can literally see the arches from some of the windows and the deck. Beds were very comfortable, no complaints from any of us. Kitchen stocked with nice appliances and pantry items. We didnât want to leave!
The property was everything we wanted in our Yellowstone Family Vacation. The hosts were gracious in opening their home to us and we were comfortable and enjoyed our time in Montana and Wyoming.
Beautiful property just north of Yellowstone. We loved our stay at NorthernViews. The home seemed even larger than in the pictures and the views were just as stunning! It was so nice to have space to unwind after park adventures. 4 bedrooms is awesome - but 4 bathrooms is unheard of. It was great! Kitchen is top-notch with two ovens for convenience. I had pre-made some spices for meals, but as it turns out, all of them would have already been on hand in the well stocked cabinets and pantry. The host went out of his way to make the check-in procedure as smooth as possible. We had elk visit us right after arrival! We each agreed that we would look to stay here again if we are ever in the area. Thanks for having us! We had a great time.
Excellent location with fantastic views of the mountains with plenty of space to spread out. We had a great time at this property. Would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank You.
Wonderful place to stay. It is convenient to North Yellowstone where you can see bisons, elks, deer, grizzly bear (in Lamar Valley), and even visited by a Mama black bear and cub right outside the property! Elks and bull deer are roaming the neighborhood every day. Good restaurant choices in town and grocery store just walking distance from the property.
The kitchen was very well appointed and had everything we needed to cook for 8 people for a week. Plenty of room for 8 adults. Beautiful views and plenty of wildlife - we had an elk waiting for us as the welcome committee! Grocery/liquor store was super close - close enough you could walk too. Would definitely stay here again!
The house was fantastic, perfect for our familyâs visit to Yellowstone. They thought of everything and we couldnât have asked for anyone more. The pantry was extremely well stocked and they even had some childrenâs books which was great because we had forgotten to pack a couple. Overall, if we ever come back to Yellowstone weâd stay here again.
The house is amazing. Lots if space, the kitchen is furnished with everything you might need. Close to the North entrance of Yellowstone. The owners were great! Loved our stay.
My third time to stay there and not my last! This is my home away from home. The owner has thought of everything! Just stop and buy groceries and youâre done.
This comfy house is big, well-appointed and well-stocked. From the thristy towels to the soft bedsheets, it was a dream stay. Located close to town (Gardiner) and the north entrance to Yellowstone N.P., it was a perfect stay--especially with the deer and elk coming by to say "hi" almost daily.

About the host
Hosted by Rick Brown
We live on a small ranch in Oklahoma, but Gardiner has become our second home.
We have been visiting Montana and Yellowstone for many years, purchasing the land and building our first home, The Northgate House, in 2007.
At some point in time, we hope to retire here and call Northern Views our permanent home. Until that day, we will share it with others!
Why they chose this property
We purchased the land and built in Gardiner because we liked the character of the town, the proximity to Yellowstone National Park, and its beauty.
What makes this property unique
Northern Views sits on a hillside above Gardiner and offers the benefit of being within walking distance to town for convenience while affording our guests the privacy they desire.
