Welsh Mountain Retreat Near Amish Country - FIREPLACE - KEURIG - EV CHARGER

Our comfortable home is completely furnished with any supplies and appliances you could want. This includes towels, bedding, kitchen cookware and utensils, and a Keurig beverage maker for coffee whenever you wish. Washer and dryer, and trash removal are all provided for your convenience. Two 6 foot tables are on site to be used for stamping or crafts. There is a nice deck overlooking a large backyard and fields, perfect to relax and use our Weber grill for a backyard barbecue. There is also central air throughout the house for those hot days. Two full bathrooms make this convenient for families. The master bedroom has its own private bathroom. The second full bath is conveniently located near the other two bedrooms. You can count on this house being impressively clean. Fire logs are included for the real working fireplace.

Unfortunately because of our jobs, we may not get to meet you. We live less than a mile away so if you need something or have questions about the area we are right here.
We have lived in the area for over forty years so we know a bit about Lancaster County and would be delighted to share. I would love to give you places to eat, unique local shopping, and things to see that aren't on the usual tourist route.
When you stay at Welsh Mountain Retreat, you have the complete home to yourselves. A beautiful spot not far off the beaten path is a good recipe for a great stay.

Welsh Mountain Wedding Weekend

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming home and would not hesitate recommending it for other travelers. Lovely East Earl Getaway

My family and I traveled in for a wedding in nearby New Holland. The location was perfect being right between New Holland and Narvon. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch enjoying the sounds and sights of the countryside. Our host’s home was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. No TV but plenty of good conversation and reading. Close to many roadside farm stands.

Beautiful

I would highly recommend staying here! The hosts were friendly and very responsive. Check in was seamless and the house was clean and inviting. Although not having a television was unexpected it was nice to disconnect from the world for a few days. My husband and I are looking forward to coming back in the near future with our family to explore more of Lancaster

Peaceful getaway

Relaxing, Clean, & Spacious Rental

My mother and I had a wonderful stay at the Welsh Mountain property. The home is exactly as pictured, very welcoming, spacious, & tastefully decorated. We especially enjoyed the beautiful view of the countryside from the back deck. If you need to work a bit during your trip as I did, the internet speed was excellent. You also will not find better hosts. Ernest and Yvonne quickly responded to questions we had before and during our stay. We definitely would stay here again.

Family Heritage

Our family settled in Lancaster County in 1738. 3 families came together and stayed at the house to get together and find out about our ancestors. We had a great time investigating the area. The house was awesome!

Great place to stay

The property is perfect for a group of adults or families. Its close to many of the fun things to do in Lancaster County and is a comfortable home. This is our third rime staying there and we're looking forward to returning.

Our Happy Retreat

The property was clean, neat and welcoming. Before we even walked in the house Ernest called to tell us of a btoken blind in the bedroom and he would be there in 20 minutes to replace it, a man true to his word, in and out in minutes. He kindly took out the bbq grill for us. Even the neighbor across the road introduced himself. I hope we can make this an annual thing.

Clean and Quiet

We had a great weekend visit to this area. Owner was very responsive and prompt with communication. Check-in was super easy, and they offered up suggestions for local restaurants and grocery. And Shady Maple Market was THE BEST place to get any kind of food item imaginable. House very clean and we had plenty of space, and beds, for the 5 of us. All the necessary amenities were readily available for kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful, especially the backyard. My only comment would be to powerwash the deck, but we had our own tailgate chairs and just used those to sit under a huge tree and enjoy the outdoors. Would definitely stay here again!

Clean and well maintained

My wife, me, and our two 40+ sons stayed for 4 days while in town for my fathers 90th birthday gathering. House was well maintained and was perfect for us and would have accommodated 3 times as many people comfortably. Plenty of room and location is quiet, with plenty of charm weather sitting in the back on the patio or on lawn chairs in the front yard watching local Amish buggy’s trot by… very sweet surroundings! Thank you!

Girls weekend

This home was very inviting, decorated nicely and and very clean. It's in the country and the drive into Bird In Hand took us about 20 to 25 minutes, and was absolutely a beautiful drive along the countryside. The home was very well stocked and they even had extra supplies like tooth paste and tooth brushes in case you forgot something, it was probably there. The beds were comfortable and nice to come back to after a long day of shopping and sight seeing. The owners were very nice and helpful. We will definately be back for another visit.

Excellent stay

We had a lovely stay at Ernest’s Vrbo. We were in town for a wedding & it was our family of four & three other adults. The teens slept on the twin beds in the office area, into which two of the bedrooms open & the adults all had the bedrooms. It was perfect for our needs & they thought of everything we could have needed or forgotten. The location is very close to Shady Maple, a wonderful Smorgasbord and store. The coffee at Shady Maple’s coffee shop is also excellent!

The Great Escape

Wow! What an experience! The Host was AMAZING!! Everything we needed and more was there. He answered all of our questions and even showed my youngest how to use the coffee maker when she asked, he came to our rescue one night with more fire logs. We fell in love with the fireplace and I was going to go into town and buy more, but he wouldnt have it, he brought more to us to enjoy! We needed a getaway from the busyness of it all. We wanted a location that would encourage family time without just turning on the TV, and a place to just relax, and we found it! Quiet mornings and evenings with coffee on the back porch and a beautiful view happened daily! Family time by the fireplace at night was our best together memory. This place has made a lasting memory in our lives. We wouldn't change anything, it was just right for our great escape!
