It is a total paradise and a place to totally get away from it all. Breathtaking view of Hood canal from every room of the house or from the expansive many level decks. Make your way down the staircase to the beach where you can swim, fish, crab, or paddle out in the kayaks A veritable spa experience-hot tub, sauna, massage chair or in the evenings sit at the fire pit outside. The three separate rooms offer an amazing view of the Hood
Canal. From the living room you can gaze out on the sunrise or on the expansive porch that you can hang out on or at the BBQ on the outside covered deck with the table and propane heater or relaxing in the hot tub. The access down to the beach is an easy way down with decks to stop enjoy the view. You can clam on the beach or go out on kayaks and paddle just down the beach to the Dosewallips Wildlife Estuary or
You have access to the whole house and the beach. There are kayaks down at the beach for your use.
Guests can access the house when they arrive. I am available by phone if needed. I live an hour away, so if there is an emergency there is a neighbor who helps out.
This is a quiet neighborhood, it is right off hwy 101 with a little land and road between. It is a small town with a gas station, bar, restaurant, general store and that’s about it. There is hiking and many water sports in the area. If you bring your food you will never want to leave.

Nearby Dosewallips State Park, with acres of clams and oysters and geoduck, is also a great place to beach comb at low tide. Brinnon is a hiker’s paradise and there are spectacular trails and breathtaking waterfalls in Brinnon or in the nearby Olympic National Park. Or check out the great mountain biking trails. Divers can see several species of rockfish, octopus and all sorts of crabs in one of the best diving locations in the Northwest, and diving gear can be rented close by. A little further down the road is Mount Walker. A short drive up the mountain at the scenic view area, you will be blown away by the spectacular views of the Olympic Mountain range and turn your head back east and see the City of Seattle skyline. According to our guests, our house on the edge of the Olympic National Park is an ideal location as a base for their adventures to explore the park. Olympic National Park covers 922,651 acres of three distinct habitat zones, the alpine region, the coastline and the temperate rain forest. At 1,441 square miles, the park is larger than Rhode Island(1,214 square miles). In 1976, the park was named an International Biosphere Reserve by United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, the park was made a World Heritage Site by the World Heritage Convention.
Take a short drive to the Olympic National Park at your back door, you are less then five minutes from Mount Walker where you can drive and see views of the Seattle skyline or, if you look in the opposite direction, you will see the beautiful snow peaks of the Olympics Mountain range.
To the north is Quilcene, historic Port Townsend, Sequim and Port Angeles. Hurricane Ridge, out of Port Angeles, is a great place for hiking. Port Townsend is a great spot for antiquing and the Victorian homes are incredible to see.
Food : The Halfway House nearby is famous for excellent home cooking and homemade pies. Esquire magazine chose the nearby Geoduck Restaurant and Tavern #2 as “Best Bar in America,” and Pleasant Harbor Marina, just down the road, offers superb pizza and sandwiches.
