The property was immaculate, the host was incredibly easy to communicate with, check-in and, more importantly, check-out was a breeze, and the location is crrrrraaaazzy good. You are so close to all of the businesses on Folly and a very short walk to the ocean (1 block). You can't beat it.

We had a great stay at this property in Folly Beach. We have been going to FB since 2013. This was probably the best place we stayed. Great location, the unit was clean, well-stocked, with a nice open layout. Beds were comfortable and each room had a ceiling fan. The outdoor pool area was nice for hanging out in. The communications before arrival were clear, concise and timely. We contacted the management company during the stay with a question and they responded very quickly. We will definitely return to this property on our next trip to Folly Beach.
Great house! Modern with great bathrooms and linens. Parking underneath! Pool is small but well suited for a 5 year old. Nice path right to the Pier! Great restaurants and shopping just steps away!
Super clean. Super cute. Super experience. Great location near all the action and close to the beach. We would rent again.

Our group enjoyed our stay so much we’re planning another weekend to go back. The property being located right next to the main strip in Folly, a short walk to the beach and a 15 minute drive to downtown Charleston made this an ideal place to stay for any group.
The property itself was clean, and spacious. I would stay here again without hesitation.

This was our first trip to Folly and we were not disappointed. Slightly Off Center was very clean and equipped with everything we needed, everything! The location was literally within 500 feet of 80% of the restaurants, bars and shops we frequented, and the walk to the beach was less than 3 blocks. We were very happy with the accommodations and would recommend to anyone with a party of 8 or less.

This condo, a stone's throw from the hoppin center of Folly beach, was the perfect spot for our family vacation. Plenty of room, a lovely backyard with tiny pool, and an easy walk to the sand. Despite the busy street nearby, it was perfectly quiet inside. The property managers were quick to respond to our questions and made sure our stay was as good as could be. Highly recommend.
We loved being so close to Center St. and the beach. Having the pool was great. The heater wasn't working, but it was warm enough to use comfortably. The only negative for us was that the floors were really dirty and the furniture upholstery also needed to be cleaned. Simple fixes that would make this a perfect getaway property.

The house is beautiful and newly updated. The kitchen is basically stocked but could use a few more helpful items like more plates/bowls/glasses. We had to run the dishwasher multiple times to make sure we have enough for five people. The heated pool was not heated when we arrived after taking with the company, a part needed to be replaced, so they delivered cornhole to help us pass the time in the backyard. Family that slept upstairs did not hear the sounds of the city that the couple on the main floor heard. I recommend ear plugs if your a light sleeper. We were able to leave our cars in the drive way and walk to the beach/shops/restaurants. Going into Charleston was a short 20 min drive. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to spend a couple days at the beach!

Nice location and house, dirty pool and customer service
We paid a premium rate to stay at this property titled, “Heated Pool, 2-Blocks to Beach, Pet Friendly” and all of it was true, except we arrived to a pool that had a layer of sand at the bottom, leaves in it and its filter, and cloudy water. We messaged with the customer service team daily for seven days about the issue, esp since a pool tech was supposed to come twice during our stay and hadn’t. They informed us that the pool company had come 3x during our stay and sent time stamped photos (that of course didn’t match the photos we had taken or the experience we were having) and refused a partial refund, even though we weren’t able to enjoy the pool that was promised. Very disappointing and we will not use this company again.

As a result, our team tries to quickly resolve maintenance issues as soon as they are brought to our attention. When you notified us that there appeared to be leaves in the pool, we immediately scheduled the pool company to arrive and clean it, which they did. At that property, the close proximity of ornamental trees planted for privacy near the pool can mean that a few leaves will be in the pool regardless of the scheduled pool cleaning. For that reason, we asked the pool technician to re-visit the pool again during your stay, which they did. The goal for our Concierge team is to be responsive and to consistently deliver exceptional service to our guests.
Mismanaged Concierge, Poor Communication & NO HEAT!
It was a very disappointing Christmas vacation due to the inconvenience of the rental. We understand it was extremely cold this season for the low country ( my parents have lived in Charleston for over 20 years) so I do understand the weather challenges and planning that needs to be involved. However, when the HVAC unit stopped producing heat, property management struggled to have a remedy or to compensate for the inconvenience. Instead, we spent hours moving to another second rental impacting our first night and plans for the evening. When in the second unit , it too had heat issues, however our alternative was to wear heavy clothing to hope that the first unit would be working in the morning. No emergency technician was ever called.
With dealing with the property management, I believe there could have been stronger communication ( all communication via text no phone call) and more transparency with the issue, especially when we learned that the first unit was having similar HVAC issues that week. .
We were told many different stories over the 3 days such as HVAC tech was working the unit (which did not happen) then told again all HVAC companies in the area are closed until Tuesday ( which sounds highly unlikely since when we were eating lunch Saturday, another family next to our table had similar issues on the island. They were able to book an emergency HVAC technician at their house on Saturday to remedy their issue). I share this feedback because it is discouraging that not all was done. Our only alternative was to go home early. In 4 days, property management want us to stay at 3 different units? Why would we do that. Again, this is all via text, which was delayed at times. No one ever called us.
We have always booked through their services in the past, however to be honest I don't feel enough has been done to compensate for the inconvenience or hardship. We were refunded one night stay ( the night we went home) and they kept the taxes and fees for the night they refunded us? Odd.
Overall be wary of the property management communication and be sure to document all the facts. Ask if the HVAC has been serviced and is working correctly. It would have been great to share a review that we received personable and proactive concierge service however, in our experience that was NOT the case.

What an awesome house for a a holiday weekend in Folly Beach! It was perfect for our group of 7 family members to meet for the extended Thanksgiving weekend. Very comfortable furniture, beds and a great kitchen. The outdoor patio and pool were awesome for extending the living space. (Pool was warm also contrary to other reviews.) We will be back!

Misleading Information
Even though the house was nicely decorated, there was a lot of misleading information. For example, a heated pool was offered but it wasn’t heated. The property management was contacted but nothing was done about that. There was mold in the shower of one of the upstairs bathrooms. The air conditioning did not work—-was 77 degrees until an HVAC repairman came to fix that. The primary bathroom sink’s faucet came out in a trickle with NO HOT WATER! For the cost of the rental, my family and I were VERY disappointed!🙁
This house was incredible- walking distance to everything, very clean, perfect little pool for kids and adults and the management company was very attentive. Would highly recommend!!
