House and grounds are for use by registered/booked guests only. No visitors.
No Hunting! No Shooting!

Sorry – pets are not allowed. Should we discover that a pet was brought to the home, you will be charged a $300 cleaning/deodorizing fee.

Log home. Super clean and fun. Fully prepped with linens and towels. Kind of a "just bring your toothbrush" place. 3 miles from the midway point of the Appalachian Trail. See link below for an immersive 3D Tour of the property.

Newly completed basement brings the total square footage to 1900 square feet.

The Forest House has 2 large screen Roku-enabled TVs (in the main living area and the basement).

Want to enjoy a nice fire in the fireplace or the fire pit out back? We even supply the firewood!

Adjacent to the Michaux State Forest (you are practically in it!).

Pine Grove Furnace State Park (3.1 miles away). Full beach, concessions and swimming area.

Kings Gap Environmental Education Center (about 8.5 miles away).

Full access to the home. Once you book, I will send you a key code which opens up the lock box adjacent to the front door. It is a "honor system" check-in/check-out. Check-in any time after 3:00 PM. Check-out by 11 AM.

Note: be sure to reenter the lock box code in order to close the box.

TRASH: There is a large trashcan in the basement that will last the duration of your stay. Housekeeping will empty the trash after your stay.

We have worked really hard to make The Forest House nice, clean, fun and most of all affordable. Folks tell us that we should be charging more—but, quite frankly, we are tired of being priced out of vacation homes ourselves. This is a "cabin" only by name. This is a luxury log home with granite countertops. The best of the best. Heat, AC, Internet, etc. with all the creature comforts of home.
