We had such a wonderful stay! The house was spotless, nicely maintained, outfitted with every comfort, and even better than the photos. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The host was absolutely wonderful-welcoming, accommodating, and clearly takes great pride in the property. We would love to stay here again!

The Creekfront Nature Retreat is a lovely home with a spectacular location. We had especially good weather so the fire ring and kayaks were well used. The S'mores makings were an unexpected treat. The kitchen had everything we needed, and bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Family vacation

My husband and I wanted time with our 3 adult children and one fiancé. The house had room for all of us to have time together and have separate moments. We enjoyed breakfast at the house overlooking the water. Dinners together and so many memories were made.

Beautiful home right on the River!

Phenomenal home that’s been renovated and expanded. Beautiful setting right on the Yellow Breeches Creek. Our only regret is now staying long enough to enjoy the kayaks. Very clean and well appointed.

Even better than expected!!!

We had a spectacular time at the property. It was extremely clean and comfortable with everything you could need and more! Didn’t think our teens would kayak, however the loved it, and had so much fun. It’s close to everything, yet far enough removed and peaceful. The beds were extremely comfortable, even more so than expected!!! Would absolutely book again without question.

Great weekend stay

This cottage was perfect for our weekend stay for a wedding in nearby Mechanicsburg. We had six people in our group - three adult couples. This three bedroom cottage had plenty of room for us. The location is very scenic and quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the deck or in the screened-in porch and watching the wildlife. We saw a deer with her two babies and a variety of birds. We enjoyed hiking along the Appalachian Trail which runs right through Boiling Springs. However, I recommend the short drive to Pine Grove Furnace State Park where you can hike to the trail's halfway point.Unfortunately rain prevented us from enjoying the kayaks and firepit but we look forward to doing so on our next visit.

Yellow Breeches Creek

This is in a great location and wonderful water area. Kayaking was so peaceful. The house had washer and dryer which was very convenient. Dishwasher. Only use to Keurig so going back to a full pot was a little wasteful though. I wish I would have brought extra one to leave there. Bike there we enjoyed to so we could see the area around. Boiling springs is beautiful. So many things close by Stacey made me feel like I was home and she was part of my family. I’ve been telling everyone and recommending this place. We would stay again but longer next time.

About the host

Hosted by Stacey Kalmanovitz

Host profile image
Hi I'm Stacey and I grew up in Boiling Springs (in this house). I had an idyllic childhood spending HOURS playing outside here.

I love hosting because it gives me a chance to share the magic of Boiling Springs, the Yellow Breeches Creek, and this home with the world. Growing up in this house, I made many happy memories playing outside and running free and it brings me joy to open my special home to other families!

My husband and I live in California, but like to spend time here when we can. Most weekends you will find us at the beach, listening to live music, or cooking. We have 3 dogs (Deacon, Watson & Otto), we are dog-people and we love hosting well-behaved fur babies.

Why they chose this property

This neighborhood is surrounded by nature and it forces you to slow down a bit. You can sit with your coffee watching blue herons and egrits in our yard, watch the trout jump in the creek, listen to the birds and at night, the owls. Occasionally, you will see snapping turtles, deer, and even a bald eagle. Each year around Thanksgiving, I see a group of wild turkeys on the property. This is the ultimate place to get away and enjoy some calm.

What makes this property unique

My parents converted the house from a one-bedroom fishing cabin to an A-frame 3 bedroom with two loft-style bedrooms on either side. It's truly unique for families to get together in the large living room and porch but still have separate privacy of their own bedroom spaces. We want others to feel at home here which is why the kitchen is stocked with amenities for cooking, we have many board games (for rainy days), and 4 kayaks to take on the creek. This is a place to come together and make cherished memories.
