About this property

Well Appointed Apartment with Breathtaking Views

This is a rare jewel on Old Mission Peninsula. The rental is waiting for friends or family who enjoy sunsets on West Bay, quiet company of the wind through the trees and a short hop into Traverse City. While the view is wonderful, we do not have water access, although we do have beaches close by. It is a unique property that boasts of a fully furnished master suite with a walk in closet, second bedroom, and two full baths. It has a 3 season room to watch the waves come on the beach below, and a gas fireplace. It has a two car attached garage and a w/d in the laundry room. Great walking area up to Hawthorne Winery. In appreciation of your stay, we are not charging a cleaning fee.

This was a great place overall. Excellent location. I have only one suggestion; if one tree was removed, the one with 2 bases that looks like a V, then we could see the bay and across. It would fall in the realm of perfect if that trr was gone.

Lovely Summer Retreat

We SO enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. So peaceful and relaxing with beautiful views of the lake and of surrounding nature. Relaxing fall getaway

My husband and I stayed for three nights in early November. The property was clean and very well furnished, the host was sweet and responsive, and the location was perfect. We relaxed and enjoyed the view and took advantage of the quick trip to great wineries, downtown Traverse City, and beautiful hiking. It was our first time to the area but we are definitely planning to return and hope to stay at this wonderful property again!

My husband and I moved to Traverse City in 2015. We fell in love with the beauty of the area and the wonderful community spirit. We own a manufacturing business in Grawn, and I am a consultant that works with wineries and vineyards here in the area and California and Oregon. I was born and raised in Mexico City, went to university Santa Clara University in CA, and the International School of International Management in Glendale, AZ. We have lived in Hawaii, Philippines and Thailand before spending 18 years in Sonoma County. I like to travel, bike, hike, and enjoy good food and wine. I love meeting new people and sharing this amazing area with them.

Why they chose this property

This is a unique property. It is completely self-contained, though it is attached to our home. It has its own attached two car garage, two bedrooms and two full baths. It is the only house on the road, so there is lots of privacy. At the top of the road is Hawthorne Winery where you can wander up to and enjoy great wine and company. The property is located five miles out of town, down beautiful Peninsula Drive which skirts the side of the bay on Old Mission Peninsula.

What makes this property unique

It is a fantastic place to relax after a long day of exploring all the wonderful places in the area. Old Mission Peninsula has over eight wineries, several restaurants and lots of cherry and apple orchards and vineyards. But so close to town! Only a ten minute drive to downtown Traverse City!
