Ours is a one bedroom cabin with full bath, living/dining area/kitchen, satellite TV, landline phone, and a covered front deck located on our private property adjacent to the Kootenai National Forest, on a paved county road in a remote mountain location. The cabin overlooks a mountain valley with hay fields, seasonal Doe Creek and year round McGinnis Creek. The area abounds with wildlife, and there are numerous logging roads for hiking. We are near the Fisher River for trout fishing and a 30 minute drive to the Thompson chain of lakes where you can fish for lake trout, kokanee salmon, perch, bass, and rainbow trout, and tiger muskee. One hour away are the Cabinet Mountains, the Kootenai River, the Libby Dam and Lake Koocanusa. We are 2 hours west of Glacier Park.

It’s a wonderful cabin in a beautiful location. The hosts were great folks and had lots of information about local sites. It is quiet and peaceful.

Beautiful and relaxing get away.
The cabin was perfect. The bed was comfortable and the view was spectacular. We saw several Whitetail does with their adorable spotted fawns. Owner Sue was so sweet and welcoming. The kitchen was well stocked. We will definitely be back.

About the host
Hosted by Suzanne Pierce
Jerry and I retired in 2009, Jerry from the BLM as a Range Management Specialist and I from nursing. We moved here with our horses and dogs from SW Wyoming to be near our daughter and her husband who were managing the neighboring cattle and guest ranch.
Why they chose this property
Doe Creek Cabin offers, a quiet, peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Turn off your cell phones (there's no signal) and relax to the silence of the forest. No constant traffic, sirens or crowds to intrude on your chance to recharge.
What makes this property unique
Our remote location allows for private hikes through pristine forests. Watch for local wildlife like deer, elk, moose, coyotes, waterfowl, bears, wolves, and mountain lions. Carrying bear spray is highly recommended. Star gazing is optimal as there is no light pollution from street or city lights.
