Family home near Berkeley, San Francisco

We’re offering our family home for rent for select summer dates. We welcome kids and pets. It's a sunny house with a large, sunny yard and is a relaxed, comfortable place for a family or group to spend time in the Bay Area.

The house is a 15-min walk/4-min drive from Bart public transportation, which goes to San Francisco, Berkeley, airports etc. Walkable to parks; close to huge hiking areas, short drive from: Berkeley, Bay beaches, varied dining.

Lots of light & Bay views. Large front yard has patio, patio swing. Large, laid-back backyard has BBQ and swing set.

The house is 1,350 square feet. The front of the house has the newly remodeled kitchen, dining room and living room in an open floor plan, with lots of afternoon light and views of Mt. Tam and the north San Francisco Bay.

In the back of the house are three bedrooms and the bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed and a desk that gets morning light. The second bedroom is the smallest and has a loft bed and sliding doors that open to the backyard. The third bedroom has a full-size (double) bunk bed (i.e., each bunk sleeps two adults).

The kitchen is newly remodeled and fully equipped, with granite countertops and double sink, as well as all major appliances including microwave, toaster, and blender. There are a washer and dryer, and a chest freezer, in the garage. There's no parking in the garage, which is where we will store our personal belongings, but you may park in our slanted driveway (where we park) or on the street in front of the house.

There's a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, and we have wood that guests can use (subject to local air quality restrictions). There's also a piano and a TV, which includes streaming services for movies and shows (Netflix) and cable channels (through Sling TV).
