The Heights Lodge is a gorgeous home with a huge, fan-lit deck and picturesque views of the forest and Norfork Lake. This 1600 square foot, 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home can accommodate 8 to 14 people. A beautifully kept home, it features handsome wood construction and a sportsman’s décor of bears, moose, fish, deer and eagles. The garage houses your own private game room with a pool table, foosball, darts and more. The paved driveway area has a basketball hoop and a campfire pit and horseshoes are located nearby. In the summer, an above ground pool adds to the excitement.
The Heights Lodge sits in the upper part of a secluded valley, just an easy walk or drive down to the lake. We are located on a natural cove, perfect for fishing, swimming and exploring. Just 1 mile down the road, you will find a public launch and swim beach, along with Fout Boat Dock offering pontoon and waverunner rentals. Located only 16 miles from the city of Mountain Home, AR, this home is private yet conveniently close to all the services you may need.

Best weekend!

We had the best rainy Memorial Day weekend here. The covered porches were perfect for a rainy weekend. The garage games were a huge hit with the kids. We loved seeing all of the wildlife and walking to the lake to explore. We’ve stayed in one of the hosts’ 2 homes every Memorial Day weekend for the past several years and are always blown away. Top notch stay! Exactly as described. More than enough activities and games for kids and adults of all ages! Already planning our next stay!

Great host/hostess, perfect location!

The location was wonderful! Close to mountain him and gassville. We came down to visit Fields of Terror for Halloween. Gassville is about a 25 min hop from the home. The house is spacious enough for our group of 11 adults to be comfortable. Also home is very clean and just spotless! Our hosts were very quick to respond and we all LOVED the treat that they left for us! Our host were quick to respond. Thank you for letting us stay with you!

House was really nice and clean very quite. The banana nut bread was amazing. Their was enough room for all of us. The kids had alot of fun playing in the game room. We had everything we needed. This was the 2nd time we've stayed their and enjoyed it just as much as the first time.

Something for everyone

The Lodge is a perfect getaway that offers something for everyone. You can’t beat morning coffee on the gorgeous deck, stargazing at night, family game room, and short drive to the lake. Set in a serene and picturesque location, yet close to town. The house was exceptionally clean, spacious and fully stocked for a home away from home experience, just bring your groceries or make a quick trip to numerous restaurants in town. Our hosts, Cindy and Shawn, made themselves available but respected our privacy AND we had delicious, warm banana nut bread waiting for us upon arrival. If we get the opportunity for another vacation, we will certainly keep this wonderful place at the top of our list! Would definitely recommend for anyone considering a family vacation to Lake Norfork!!

Perfect for Us

My friends and I decided that we just HAD to get away for a much over due weekend of fun and food. This place was perfect!!! It was very clean, spacious, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Cindy was the best host, too! All 12 of us had the best time and declared we would be back. I am looking forward to the next time.

Great place to get away and enjoy family time!

The Heights Lodge was absolutely amazing for our family getaway. The lodge is off the beaten path and allowed lots of privacy and solitude. Upon entering the kitchen there was wonderful banana bread to welcome us. The home was immaculate, and the kitchen has everything we needed and more. The lodge was handicap accessible with a ramp to the deck outdoors, a single shower unit and an elevated toilet, allowing even our 90-year-old to fully enjoy the trip. Most of our time was spent on incredibly spacious and relaxing covered deck with a view of the cove! The deck offered the peaceful, relaxation that we were looking for. With the lodge being along the edge of the woods there was a constant stream of wildlife that provided entertainment and the wonderful hosts even had some corn in the garage to help entice the wildlife to come closer. The deer would come in twice a day, the squirrels were always out playing and the wonderful sounds of a summer in the Ozarks with the tree frogs and birds singing helped to set the ambiance for tranquility. There were lots of family games for both indoor and outdoor entertainment that accommodated all ages. There was plenty of extra bedding, including pillows as well as an ample amount of towels for the whole family. The lodge offered the whole family room to spread out and have their own space when necessary, while making us feel as though were at home with all the accommodations. The rooms were superb with direct access to the deck from the master king. We highly recommend the lodge to anyone who is looking for a family getaway that can accommodate all ages!

We moved to Norfork Lake from Las Vegas, NV in 2005. We were looking for a more family friendly place to raise our son and, boy, did we hit the jackpot.

Why they chose this property

The beautiful setting, abundance of outdoor activities, convenience of local services and general good nature of the locals make this a perfect place to vacation. Fout Boat Dock is just 1 mile down the road offering pontoon and waverunner rental, plus there is a COE swim beach, play ground and boat launch ramp.
