Nestled on 2.5 acres, this modern cabin is equipped with up-to-date amenities, a living room view of Skyo Mountain, access to Johnson Creek and the Cowlitz River, a hot tub, lots of space for any yard game you could imagine, and plenty of privacy. Enjoy herds of elk grazing in the front lawn while you sip coffee in the morning or after an evening meal. Elk Trail Cabin is two hours south of Seattle and two hours north of Portland. From this property, White Pass Ski Area is a 25-minute drive, Mt. Rainier National Park entrance is 12 miles away, and Mt. St. Helens is an hour drive. Within a 10-minute drive, a variety of pristine mountain lakes and hiking trails are waiting to be explored. Whether you are an outdoor enthusiast seeking an adventure, or you are looking for a peaceful place to relax and read a book, Elk Trail Cabin is calling your name!

The house was very comfortable, with plenty of room. The beds were comfortable. Everything needed for our stay was available. The host let us know ahead that the heating system was being worked on but the back up heat kept it nice and warm. Were conveniently close to town. Loved the big windows with a lot of light even on gloomy days.

Beautiful property. Convenient to Hwy 12 for exploring the area, but remote enough to have dark skies for gazing at the amazing stars and Milky Way from the hot tub and deck. Great house. Hit all the boxes for a family experience.

We had a wonderful stay! It is always fun when your family sees a home for the first time and says, "Wow!" We loved the sitting area with the giant windows. The home was very clean and comfortable (however, the bed upstairs was too soft for us, so we slept downstairs). It was a great base for exploring Mount Rainier NP. We would definitely stay here again.

Prior to our stay we traveled across the Olympic Peninsula so we were hopping from hotel to hotel. It felt so nice to land in a home for a few days. The house was clean, cozy, and perfect for our short stay. We loved watching the elk graze in the yard on our first night while relaxing in the hot tub!

Quiet and Peaceful

Just what my niece and I needed after 2 weeks land and sea Alaska. Also, the hot tub was great after hiking at Mt. Rainier. Could have used instructions on how to turn on surround sound speakers but all-in-all a relaxing stay. Thank you.

Comfy country living

Really enjoyed the homey style of this property! A wonderfully kept yard and nice deck for hanging out, this place felt like a home away from home. The comfiest beds and lots of fans and heaters were provided if needed. We really appreciated the level of thought put into providing comfort, not just looking nice or modern.
