We have stayed at this location many times--and will always make it our first choice when we return (hopefully it'll be available)! Spacious, comfortable and QUIET. All the while, close to great food options and seasonal entertainment.
We had a very relaxing stay. The home is very comfortable and was just as described. We hope to be back soon. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven!!
Overall a nice house. We were competing in a race at Carolina Motorsports Park so the house was just a place to shower and sleep. Rainy weekend so we did not spend much time outside on the property. House has a nice view of the lake. The only two things that stuck out was a towel bar that needed to be re-affixed to the wall in the hall bath and the door is missing where the trash can resides in the kitchen. Simple fixes of course. Everything else was good. We thank the family for opening their home to our race team.
We have rented homes while traveling many time and were shocked to arrive and have no linens in the home. When we called the listing contact he informed me that it was in the rental agreement, I must have missed that as it would have changed our choice to rent this property. The contact was gracious enough to bring bedding and some towels, even though it was quite late in the evening...so we were grateful for that. We probably would not rent this house again due to the no linen and depending on who was with us the stairs in and out of the house.
We loved everything about the house and hope to be guests again!!! We knew we paid a cleaning fee but I hope it was left the way we found it. I do have to ask for forgiveness for one thing. Someone didn’t know to put trash in one of the trucks we came in and both guys driving trucks had to leave early Monday morning when we realized someone had put some bags in the green trash can downstairs. The cars us women were driving had no room for those trash bags and we all panicked and didn’t know what to do. Two are still teaching and I retired after 33 years of teaching and the motto of teachers is “don’t ask permission just ask for forgiveness”. So this is us asking for forgiveness!!!! Someone made a mistake and we are really sorry for leaving that trash in your green trash container!
This was our second visit to this relaxing home. We were as happy as the first with our time there. We enjoyed walks on the quiet roads nearby, time on the water, and "catching up" with friends and family on the porch. This quiet cove is close to the landing and has quick access to the big water but is private and calm enough for our kayaks. The ping pong and corn hole area beneath the house is a cool spot to compete and relax after enjoying the sun and water. This host has been very accommodating and helped us enjoy another family vacation at Lake Wateree!
This home was perfect and exactly as described. The view from the porch and pier were amazing with the full moon shining over the lake. The home was clean and had all the kitchen ware anyone would need. We cooked every meal at the home. The home was spacious and decorated appropriately. We greatly enjoyed playing ping pong and corn hole underneath the home when we weren’t boating or fishing. We can’t wait to visit here again.
Our family enjoyed visiting this beautiful, cozy, clean house. The views of the lake and wildlife are awesome! The family pictures and artwork displayed so lovingly are precious! Nearby are restaurants, gas, and a boat landing. Everything you need for a peaceful getaway is here! Thank you to the family for allowing us to visit.
This was our 2nd stay and we were 100% pleased both times. The house is very clean, peaceful and relaxing. It's also convenient to restaurants and the boat landing. We enjoyed sitting on the screened-in porch. Definitely hope to return again!

What makes this property unique
Our family grew up going to Lake Wateree since the 1950's. Our Mother , Primrose, built this house for her family and friends to enjoy all Lake Wateree has to offer. Designed as a get away place for relaxing and spending time boating, fishing or laying in the hammock reading a book.
