A lovely coastal town, Florence features coffee shops, cafes, antique shops, art galleries, and the Siuslaw Pioneer Museum. Just north of town is the picturesque landmark of Heceta Head Lighthouse at Devil's Elbow State Park, and the nearby Sea Lion Caves are a must if you're traveling with youngsters or animal lovers.

The bit of dunes you see across the river stretches into the expansive Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Enjoy an afternoon of sand boarding or a thrilling ride in a dune buggy, or lounge in the beach chairs provided at the house for a relaxing day on one of the coast's most beautiful beaches. When you step into this lower-level apartment, you'll discover the expansive windows lining the riverfront walls create a sunny and surprisingly spacious environment. Carpeted floors, modern furnishings, and tasteful decor invite you to make yourself at home. Settle into the plush sofa or loveseat and play your favorite flick on the flatscreen TV, complete with cable and a DVD player. WiFi access is also available if you'd like to put your feet up on the coffee table and catch up on emails while basking in the beautiful scenery through the wide windows.

Florence is full of delightful seafood restaurants and laid-back pubs, but if you prefer to savor your own home cooking the well-designed kitchen is at your leisure. Watch the rolling river flow by under the bridge as you mix and stir ingredients. All the major appliances, including a refrigerator, stovetop/oven, microwave and dishwasher, are at hand for preparing light breakfasts or gourmet seafood cuisine. And dinner can be served at the private waterfront dining table that seats four. A coffee maker is also provided so can enjoy a steaming cup of your favorite morning beverage on the deck overlooking the river.

The bedroom is light and airy with striped bedding in calming color tones on the queen-size bed. A dresser and closet are at hand to store your personal belongings, and there is also a second wall-mounted TV so you can fall asleep listening to your favorite late-night show. Although, you may find the sound of the Siuslaw lapping at the banks outside your window to be a more relaxing lullaby.

The full bathroom has a shower/tub combination, and plenty of counter space to get ready for a full day of exploring beautiful Florence. There is also a washer/dryer available, so don't worry about the ocean flotsam that may wind up on your clothes!

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.

Security camera details: A security camera is located outside the front door in the entryway, right above the primary lockbox. It is aimed at the opposing wall, so you would be able to see who approaches the front door.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
