Two story, 1,278 sf cabin with partial-use detached garage, horse corral* (corral to be completed, hopefully, end of Sept. '18) with adjoining corral shed / tack room. Situated 8,595 feet above sea level, this "Island in the Sky" has beautiful views up & down Quartz Creek Valley, surrounded by Aspen groves, nearby Quartz Creek, and stunning vistas of 'above timberline peaks'. This truly is 'Rocky Mountain High'!
There is a large covered deck that spans the entire width of the front of the house, facing east (with large log swing & dbl log seat w/ console - see pics). Both the sunrises and sunsets are fully experienced from the way this cabin is situated on the property, in the middle of Quartz Creek Valley.
Please refer to the photo gallery for a greater appreciation of this quaint, rustic, very homey property. As you can see, a picture/pictures are worth a thousand words . . .

About the host
Hosted by Scott Reno
My wife (Kim) & I have been married since 1972 & have been coming to Ohio City (from Santa Cruz, CA) since 1976, initially for hunting. It has since turned into a family retreat/reunion area and our families descend every-other year (around the 4th of July) on this small piece of paradise to celebrate our lives together (there are four other cabins nearby that have become an integral part of this experience). It has become a family tradition and the "best vacation ever", providing memories for multiple generations for years to come.
Why they chose this property
In 2017 this property became available and we didn't hesitate to buy it to become semi-permanent members of this wonderful "mountain high" community.
What makes this property unique
For the last year, Kim & I have spent countless hours setting it up & furnishing it to make it a very comfortable retreat for our growing family (4 children & 15 grandchildren) and for those who would like to experience what we have over the last forty-two years . . .
