This was the perfect Colorado stay! The house has the most amazing views and everything you need to enjoy being tucked up in the mountains. Host was very kind and accommodating to all of our needs. Can’t wait to stay here again!
Such a beautiful and remote location. It snowed the day it our arrival which made our stay that much more magical. We loved the remoteness and quietness of this charming cabin. Morning coffee on the porch while watching the sunrise on Pike’s Peak was relaxing while also watching the deer, fox and jackrabbits forage and play. The kitchen is stocked and ready for you to enjoy meals. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.
Lovely cabin with a spectacular view and privacy. The chapel was a beautiful quiet spot for prayer and reflection. Kitchen was well equipped - we stayed over Thanksgiving. The heat was plenty warm. Can’t wait to return in warmer weather to enjoy more of the deck.
We really enjoyed this cozy, quiet cabin in the woods. Everything you need for a quiet getaway. Lots of outdoor options nearby, we enjoyed hiking Horsethief Park and Lost Creek Wilderness. Host was friendly and responsive, I highly recommend this for anyone interested in the area!
This cabin is amazing choice for a charming getaway into the mountains for a breath of fresh air. With beautiful mountians and wildlife that came up to the cabin it was an amazing time. They provided bear spray in case you forgot some to go on a hike; this is part of the mountains where bears are prevalent so this was reassuring. The owner was very clear about who to contact if we had any issues, when the trash came by, and general property rules. All around they were very communicative with us when we had questions and were very police and respectful. Will consider staying here in the future!
The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking and the views were to die for. Very peaceful and beautiful. Loved the chapel, the deck, the cozy rocking/reclining chairs. Appreciated the pantry having lots of random items as well as the fridge having condiments and random items. The checkin process was easy and communication with the owner was a breeze. We didn't realize the coffee pot was a traditional drip pot and had brought pod coffee. Thankfully there happened to be some ground coffee left in the pantry from a previous guest. We were thankful. There was not Ziplock bags, aluminum foil or dishes with lids for leftovers. That's not something that is on the owner, but helpful for guests to know. There was some plastic wrap so we were thankful for that. The bathroom didn't have soap or body wash. And only a small amount of shampoo. Again, no fault of the owner but helpful for prospective guests to plan ahead.I think this is a perfect home for couples or 2 friends. The kitchen table is a thin slab of wood and not large. Would make it challenging to do a puzzle or game that takes lots of table space. I highly recommend this property for the beautiful mountain views, trees lot, lovely cabin, lots of linens and blankets and the fact that they are dog friendly. There's a doggie door and a large, enclosed area for a dog.
A perfect place for a quiet, cozy retreat in the mountains. Very convenient to lots of hiking and outdoor activities. The small chapel on the property provided a lovely place for reflection and prayer.
Cabin was exactly as advertised. Great view of the mountains and a great place for visitors with pets!

About the host

We are a family of four and our puppy makes five. We are from San Antonio, Texas originally. While in Colorado on business we fell in love with the area. After years of visiting we decided to build our own little get away in the mountain. My husband built all the inside of this cabin as well as the outside shed and chapel. My husband and I wanted to move to Florissant for one year. Our ten year old daughter said she would do it IF Dad builds me a chapel. Well, she got her chapel.
Why they chose this property
