Very pleasant experience. Some small issues: parking is somewhat difficult. Several nights had to park up hill outside the compound. Grab bars in the showers and near toilets would have been helpful. Some repair detail in need were apparent but not serious. Views from the lanai are spectacular. Coffee at the communal bar in the morning was very nice. Access to the salt water pool needs attention.
We had a really nice stay! The view was great. It was very clean. AC worked. Grounds were well maintained. We were pretty happy with our stay. Couple things I wish had known before hand: The corner unit is next to the staircase for the upper floors. People frequently used them at night and woke us up. Parking spots are not assigned to units. Most of the time we ended up parking outside the gate in the additional parking area. The kitchen is on the light side. There was nothing oven safe. There were a few hiccups with our stay:One day there was scheduled maintenance for the building which resulted in no water or AC for most of the day. Our AC unit was leaking so there were a couple days that they had people working on it. One night bath tub faucet got stuck on for several hours. Fortunately for us, the property manager, Ryan, came to save the day. He was amazing! Beautiful view! Very peaceful crowd. We enjoyed the pool and the view most.
This condo was exactly what we were looking for: spectacular sunsets from the patio, relaxing in the salt water pool, great ocean views to watch for whale spouts...The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we could need. Beds were comfortable, and having fans and AC was much appreciated. Management was always available to answer any questions. We loved staying here and would definitely stay again!

Terrible Stay!
This was our worst stay at Casa de Emdeko and will be our last. We had neighbors upstairs with two young children than ran and moved almost 24/7 throughout our entire stay. It was crazy.
During sunsets, we had people literally sitting on the other side of the wall where our patio was and obstructed our view and it lacked privacy.
The Internet was beyond slow and television was super limited on what we could access. Additionally, it took multiple calls to the property manager to get the screen door repaired, toilet repaired, and sliding glass door repaired.
We had a great stay! It was wonderful to wake up in the morning and have coffee gazing at the ocean. The location was great! The only two critiques are that the second bedroom is not separate. There’s a partition separating it which could be done better. In the master bath I hit my head on the ceiling fan in the bathroom. Two minor things in an otherwise great stay. Thank you.
We loved this property so much! The view was incredible and everything was so easy to get to. My daughter and I couldn’t get enough of the saltwater pool. We would love to stay here again! Thank you! Oh and the sunsets! Each more beautiful than the next. 😊 this was a great vacation for our family!

Loved the Sandy beach and salt water pool. Small and intimate setting. Updated Kitchen too!
This stay was amazing, the house was very comfortable for 4 adult friends, the view from the lanai with the sunset every night was amazing! The location was also prime to a lot of things, just a few minutes drive or a slightly longer walk to all the downtown places. House was clean, had all cooking things you needed and linens, towels, etc were all clean and plenty of them, would highly recommend!

Kona condo
The best thing about the condo was the view. But there were a number of negatives including outlet in second bathroom didn’t work, water pressure poor, no hot water for shower one nite. Windows very dirty had someone clean them. One slider wouldn’t open. And chairs and table outside were very uncomfortable and not what was in the pictures. Disappointed
We loved our stay! The location is superb! We could sit and watch wales, dolphins and the sunset from our unit! Definitely would stay again! Loved it so much!
We love Casa de Emdeko and this stay was no exception. From first light to sunset, our stay was lovely. Kitchen well appointed (byo oil, spices), comfy beds.
Fyi - for us tall people, be aware the ceilibg fans are within arms reach in bedroom & bath.
The location couldn't be any closer to the water. The unit is very plain, needs to be decorated with Hawaiian theme. Right now it's just rooms that are very blah. It really can be nice if this is done.
Very nice unit and excellent location. Hard to beat the view and the calmness of the location. Clean, well managed. Everything we needed was there. The tables and chairs on the lanai are weathered, but otherwise, descriptions and photos are accurate. I appreciated the thoughtful complimentary goodies offered. Like others mentioned, the pass code to the pedestrian gate did not work, so we used the car gate. Parking inside the gate could be hard to find after 6 pm. But did not have a problem with finding parking just right outside the gate. Check-in is through a manual lockbox on the front door. Overall, very nice stay and would stay here again next time. Recommended.
Overall this was a five star stay for us.
The condo has been nicely updated and is very clean. The location is top notch. The entire grounds are wonderful. Only hiccup (and it wasn’t much) was regarding the email we received containing check-in info. The WiFi connection information was outdated so we didn’t have WiFi for our first day and the entry gate code was wrong but we could walk through the driving entrance instead. Once we finally got ahold of Ryan he was quick to help.
First off the location and view is over the top! We could not of asked for anything better. Most everybody in the complex actually live there so you won’t get a resort feeling when you stay here, which I actually loved that about the place. The 2 pools are wonderful and are rarely used by the tenants. One pool is a salt water pool which we loved. The other is a standard Chlorine pool which was also nice to be able to give you the option, say if you had younger kids to be able to swim. The mini beach area was to die for! Walk out your door to a beach and ocean! Now onto the living quarters. First off let me say that any WANT we needed were met with enthusiasm and promptness. The property manager was top notch with getting our needs taken care of. We had some issues with water drains which were taken care of quickly and professionally, the space is adequate for 4 adults. The kitchen and dining area was awesome. We loved all the space and view it gave us in the morning! Again let me be very clear you won’t be disappointed when staying here. There were small things that I want the owner to know about so that he ma have the knowledge to help make this place even better.
1. Gate security codes that were given were not correct. This was a pretty big issue when we got to the property. No one was there to help us. I had to get a resident to give me the code.
2. Parking. It would help if our place actually had a reserved parking spot.
Lots to like about this unit and a few not so much, but no deal breakers. On the positive side: exceptional location within the complex, great view, free coffee on the veranda, coffee grinder, nice beach towels, comfortable beds and pillows, bath rugs in the master are a nice touch, great kitchen. Not so much: parking, only 3 outdoor chairs, lack info (1st aid kit, fans & lights, parking), vent fan in bath inoperative, no patio lights, showers spray onto floors, not enough drying hooks/racks, no coffee scoop, no plastic wrap or foil, coffee pot does not shut off automatically (a safety issue), blinds in master dusty, primary photo of patio furniture is dated and misrepresents what actually is there (older table and 3 [not 4] chairs). We would rent again and recommend without hesitatation.
Our family loved our stay at this property. It was very clean, updated and well equiped. The location seemed to be the best on the entire property for a panoramic sunset view. Lovely property grounds. There were a couple little things that could have been better such as extremely loud washer, and uncomfortable sofa sleeper. But all things considered we would give it 9/10 and would definitely choose this property again. We highly recommend a stay here!
The perfect location for sunsets and watching the ocean. Close enough for a longish walk to the center of town but far enough to be out of the noise and traffic. Close to all of the excursions and activities. We were there during the Ironman and walked to see start finish line activities and stood right out front to cheer on runners!
This condo was oceanfront and impressed just as advertised. Dawn and Ismael were fantastic to work with as I transitioned from a work conference to this lovely condo. Every night we were entertained with a beautiful sunset and a resident that came out and played his conch shell. This unit is conveniently located and just quick drive to town and local shops and restaurants.
This was a beautifully situated and well appointed condo. It was perfect for our family of four to come home to each night after our daily adventures. Every evening we ate our appetizers on our private lanai to watch the sunset. From the beach just outside our rock wall we watched eels and fish play in the tidal pools. This condo is situated conveniently near shopping, beaches, and other adventures.
