About this property

The Lakes Region Log Cabin

The Lakes Region Log Cabin is located near Lake Winnipesaukee, Lake Winnisquam, Gunstock Mountain, Tanger shopping outlets, NH Bank Pavilion and more, for fun in every season! Relax at the house or enjoy one of the many activities in the Lakes Region.

We do full cleaning turnovers between guests and all linens are laundered professionally; if you have any questions, please reach out!

Rustic meets modern! The house is a quintessential log cabin, a cozy getaway but with all the modern day amenities including 3 televisions with Sling TV (cable), Netflix, Xbox, Nest thermostats and bluetooth speakers plus a touchscreen hub. Two fireplaces, two large porches, porch swing, outdoor fire pit, foosball table... lots of spots to relax and enjoy one another's company.

The Log Cabin is close to Lake Winnipesaukee for swimming and boating in the Summer and ice fishing in the Winter. Gunstock Mountain (1.5 miles away) is home to year-round activities including zip line adventures, a mountain coaster, beerfests, and skiing/snowboarding/tubing.

Also close to the Bank of NH Pavillion, Ellacoya State Park, Weirs Beach, Gilmanton Winery & Vineyard, Tanger Outlets Tilton, NH Motor Speedway, and many other Lakes Region attractions.

You have access to the entire house and yard except for the garage. There is plenty of parking in the driveway.

The house is outfitted with smart lock technology so no keys to exchange or carry around while you're visiting. We will give you a code after booking to use while renting. We are happy to chat if you have any questions or would like local recommendations (house guest book has lots of tips & tricks, as well)!

We love the peacefulness and that a 10-20 minute ride in any direction gets you to restaurants, bars, wineries, beaches, mountains, etc.

In general, the Lakes Region has some hilly areas. The Lakes Region Log Cabin has a flat driveway but does require maneuvering some hills to get to the house. Please keep this in mind if you're booking in the Winter; some cars may struggle on the snowy roads.

Driving is the best way to get around. Biking is definitely possible if you want a hilly workout!

At this time, we only accept renters who have a positive review on AirBnB.

The house is in a neighborhood so house rules state quiet hours (i.e. no music) outdoors starting at 9pm.

In the Summer (May through September), our landscaping company visits bi-weekly to keep the yard clean for guests.

Our waste management company visits bi-weekly on Friday mornings to empty the dumpster in the driveway. We share the dumpster with one of our neighboring houses so you may see them walking through our connecting wooded area to use it.

Great stay for the Pond Hockey Classic!

This property was the perfect stay for our weekend at the Pond Hockey Classic! The house had many beds and everything we needed to cook in and hang at the house. I would highly recommend staying at this home. Thank you Chris and Sara!

Fantastic property. Loved it.

Beautiful house. We were in town for a wedding so we didnt spend enough time there. We did enjoy sitting on the front porch. House is a great layout, well set up was was an easy and effortless check in and check out. We hope to return and spend longer there.

2024 Fishing Derby weekend

The cabin was better than expected, the owners were more than helpful, letting us know ahead of time, and taking care of a wifi issue, like it never happened. House is Beautiful and would be awesome in the summer as well.

Second time staying here: great property!

Our family (2 kids under 12) loves this property. This is the second time we've stayed here to ski at Gunstock. The property is lovely, clean, just as listed and convenient to Gunstock. The owner is very helpful and responsive and has upgraded it since our last visit. We'll be back for sure.

Great Fall Getaway

This house was fantastic for our family getaway. Great kitchen with everything we needed. Two great living areas. Fantastic yard with fire pit and great front porch for an early morning cup of coffee. All the bedrooms were comfortable. The house is very convenient to town and we could make quick runs to the grocery store when needed! The owner was very responsive. While it may not seem important, front porch lights were on, making it easy for us to locate the house in the dark!

This house was just so well maintained and had the most personable touches. From the decorations, to the coffee pods that Sarah had available, even the bags in the bathroom for women to use. You can just tell she goes above and beyond and really puts an effort into making this house feel so welcoming for her guests. The pictures absolutely don’t do justice for this house. It’s so bright, and cozy in real life. My friends and i came here for a wedding about 15 minutes away, and i had run out of some essentials. There is a Walmart and many stores about a 3-5 miles drive down the street. So far enough out you feel peaceful, but close enough to civilization, you feel in touch. Absolutely will be booking again with the girls for a summer trip, since it’s so close to the lake! Thank you so much!

Loved our stay!

A little delayed in posting this but we stayed at this property for 3 weeks in July. Even though it rained most days we still had a blast. The property was very nice, super clean, and in a great location. It came with a beach pass for the community beach but we preferred to go to Ellacoya Park beach up the road as it was bigger. The owners were extremely responsive when we needed something. The porch was so nice to sit and relax on at night or for morning coffee. Would highly recommend this property!

Amazing stay! Great location!

From start to finish our experience at the property was perfect. The owners are on top of everything and house is spotless and in great condition. The highlight of this property, for us, was the extra wide covered front porch. The furniture is comfy and many hours were spent out there enjoying coffee, reading, and napping. You won't regret booking this property.

Bachelorette Fun

This property was absolutely beautiful and an delight to host my friends low key Bachelorette celebration! Very easy to communicate with the host when we had trouble checking in initially but smooth sailing after that. The home was clean and fully stocked for our needs. Easy to drive to and a perfect location with access to many local amenities. Also the welcome bag was the sweetest touch! 10/10 recommend to anyone looking to rent in the Lakes Region!

Wonderful stay at Guilford Acres

This property was even better than the listing. The house was spotless and beautifully decorated Our every need was anticipated: coffees, teas. sweeteners, toilet items The area was quiet and yet close to all activities The beach was great During the week we were the only ones there and same for tennis & basketball courts A great time was had by Grandma, daughter and granddaughters Something for all ages We would highly recommend this property Thanks again Sara for a wonderful lake experience

Perfect Ski Getaway

Our family had a great time here. It has the coziness of a cabin but all the modern amenities to make for a comfortable stay - nice kitchen, modern TVs with Roku, updated bathrooms etc. It was about 5 minutes from Gunstock and our favorite pizza place "Pizza Express". We'll be looking to stay here again!

3 day trip

Beautiful property in Gilford. We went for a few days after July 4th. Plenty of space, I’d love to come during the winter. Nice fire pit outside, and farmers porch out front. Brand new appliances and no slam cabinets (now I want them in my house!) Property owner was very informative and answered all of my questions!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

My buddies and I had a great guys weekend here. Close drive to beaches, hikes and food, but the porches and house were also just a great setup. House was very clean and well maintained. We will be back!

Beautiful log cabin

My family and I really enjoyed renting this property. The homeowner was very cordial, thorough and prompt in answering the questions that I had. The cabin itself is beautiful and cozy. Everything inside is in great condition. We traveled here to go to nearby Gunstock Mountain for tubing and riding the coaster. However, the place was so nice we could've spent the whole time just relaxing there. We loved our weekend getaway and didn't want to leave on Sunday! I highly recommend this place!

There is so much to do around Lake Winni! It's a short drive from many cities but provides a relaxing getaway in any season. Winter skiing, Spring hiking, Summer lake visits, Autumn leaf peeping...

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with the large covered front porch and the rustic log cabin feel. To us, the house said "Relax." We hope others enjoy all the spots inside and outside to hang out with friends and family.
