Beautiful Block Island Home

This large, comfortable home is on a quiet dirt road near hiking trails. The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a library, and a basement. It sits on a 2 acre plot surrounded by stone walls and mature trees. It is a short bike ride or drive to beautiful beaches, wonderful restaurants, and a quaint beach town.

Block Island was named one of the Nature Conservancy's "Last Great Places" in the world. Over 40% of the island is preserved land - all of it accessible to hikers, walkers, runners, and explorers. It is a beautiful island accessible by ferry from Point Judith, Rhode Island and New London, Connecticut.

During the summer, the house is only available for weekly rentals - Monday-Monday.

If you want to bring a car to the island, you should make a ferry reservation with Block Island Ferry as soon as possible. The only ferry that takes cars leaves from Point Judith, RI.

You will need to bring your own sheets, towels, and beach chairs.

You will need to talk your trash and recycling to the transfer station before you leave.

All trash and recycling must be taken to the transfer station at the end of your stay.
You must bring your own sheets and towels. We have three queen beds and three single beds.

Perfect family stay

Our family had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the property very much! We loved cooking dinner at home, eating on the porch, and playing in the yard. The rooms are comfortable and we enjoyed the layout of the house. The location is also perfect!

The house and grounds were all lovely, very well appointed, and spacious for our family group of 6 adults, 3 year old and 6 month old. The library/study with a spiral staircase, beautiful views, and “secret”door was everyone’s favorite room. Lots of great games to play and an extensive library. Communication, arrival and departure were easy. Wish we could have stayed longer! Hope to be back again someday.

Though the weather was cold and windy (Memorial Day weekend), the home was a wonderful refuge! For 6 of us, the home was spacious and well equipped, and the grounds were beautiful. The owner was very responsive, and even helped when the ferries were all cancelled the day we were due to go to the Island. Overall, a wonderful experience!

We had such a wonderful stay at this charming home on Block Island. It was absolutely perfect for our group—cozy, welcoming, and full of character. The property itself feels like something straight out of a novel—peaceful, beautifully kept, and truly magical.While it was a bit unusual that towels and sheets weren’t provided, it wasn’t a big deal at all thanks to the local linen service, which made things easy and convenient.All in all, we had an incredible experience and would absolutely love to come back. Perfect Beach Getaway

The house was a perfect place to house my family for a Block Island Reunion. Follow the instructions from the VRBO guide to the house instead of GPS to avoid getting lost. The house is located on top of a hill on the southern part of the island so it had a great breeze for those warm days. The yard and patio were our favorite places to hang out after a day of exploring or at the beach. And there was plenty of space indoors to accommodate the 7 full size adults. There are plenty of fans in the house as well to keep each person cool at night. I highly recommend this spot for family gatherings on the island.

Hi!

The dishes and appliances all needed to be washed before we used them including the refrigerator, the house had a mold issue. The house had a lot of moisture inside even with the humidifiers running nonstop our clothes were damp just from hanging in the closet.

We spoke with our cleaning and they said the house, including dishes, appliances, and the refrigerator, was clean before you arrived. We also had our house caretaker inspect the house after your departure and he did not find any mold. I’m sorry that your visit coincided with a humid weekend but we cannot control the weather.

Relaxing getaway

We enjoyed our stay for a long weekend in September. This peaceful house is located in a quiet part of the island off a short dirt road. We enjoyed the natural light provided by plenty of picture windows, a fun library/study , large outdoor deck and 4 comfortable bedrooms for our family of six to stay in.

Beautiful Home/ Perfect Long Weekend

This house was beyond perfect. Enough rooms (and bathrooms) for everyone have enough space to be comfortable for a long weekend. The yard and deck are both large and beautiful. This house was fully stocked with all the kitchen amenities you would need to prepare dinner and drinks with your friends while enjoying the beautiful calmness of the property. Beds are extremely comfortable and have pillows and comforters. The home owner was very accommodating and reached out with all the information we needed for the weekend with clear instructions in a friendly manner. My group and I truly felt like we were “at home” in this house and decided we would absolutely rent again.
