The Home:

Rancho Venado is a custom built, award winning home that is a work of art. It is truly a one of a kind, spiritual desert oasis located in the heart of Tucson's northeast side-a hiking and biking paradise.
From the moment you approach the house, you get a sense that the builder cared about every aspect of this design. This is evident in the beauty of the stained glass and hand-blown lighting, the design of the wrought iron and the custom wood throughout. Nestled back on a beautiful piece of natural desert, this ranch style home is set to be a popular location for vacation goers who want to experience Arizona at its best.
The drive up to the welcoming front porch shows off an unusual stained glass door and window. Step inside and feel a part of the southwest right away. The open concept living room, dining room, kitchen and family room make you feel right at home. This luxurious home has 3,785 sq. feet with lots of additional living space (front and back porches) bringing the total space to 5,081 sq. ft.

The Bedroom Suites:

Rancho Venado is the vacation home that dreams are made of. With two separate bedroom wings and a seating area that has a sleeper sofa (east wing), the home will sleep 8 to 10 people comfortably.
The right side east wing offers access to 2 Queen suites and 1 King suite. Each bedroom has its’ own bathroom with spa like shower and a courtyard for quiet reflection and communing with nature. The courtyards can be accessed by doors from each bedroom.
Bedroom One is the Vintage King Suite. This room is comfortable and homey. Light wood, quilts and antiques bring a feeling of peace in this room, just what you want when on vacation.
The Classic Queen Suite (bedroom two) has the charm and style of a well-appointed resort, pairing the elegant, dark wood furnishings with the lightness of contemporary floral.
Bedroom Three, the Hawaiian Queen Suite is the most fun room of all, bringing a sense of the islands to Rancho Venado. This room pays homage to the Hawaiian parental roots of the owner.
An additional wing to the left provides a small stairway to the magnificent Master Bedroom. At first view, you will see another piece of architectural art: the beautiful stone fireplace. The rest of the King Master Suite is equally incredible. Well thought out accommodations and classic pieces of furniture take you back to the feeling of the old west, perfect for this part of the country. You will also notice the same theme continuing to the sitting room off the master suite for reading or just plain quiet time. This master bedroom suite would not be complete without an HDTV for your viewing enjoyment. The master bath features double sinks, a large shower and walk in Jacuzzi tub. There is plenty of space for your belongings in the extremely large walk in closet.

Indoor Living Spaces:

Upon entering Rancho Venado, you immediately see the options for spending time with friends, family or by yourself. Straight ahead, the living room has ample seating for visiting with a larger group. The family room to the right has a large screen television for those who want entertainment. The dining room, that is a part of the open concept room, seats 8 and is the perfect setting for a casual or formal meal. The focal point of this Great Room is a beautiful wood burning three-sided brick fireplace.
The inside living space description would not be complete without mentioning the kitchen. There is plenty of space for multiple cooks and for those who want to visit while the cooks do their thing. The kitchen has been completely furnished with all types of cookware and dishware. Want dishes for every day; use the fiesta ware. Want dishes for the patio or pool area; use the desert plastic ware. Want dishes for a special occasion; pull out the china. We have you covered for all possibilities. The 6 burner Viking chef quality stove with built in griddle and dual oven make great cooks out of everyone. Added benefits to this kitchen include a microwave, a separate ice-machine and a stand-alone subzero refrigerator. There is also a full size freezer in the laundry room. The walk-in pantry has plenty of space and is stocked with some basic cooking supplies which also includes an array of spices. An assortment of pots and pans and small appliances for cooking and baking have been stocked for your use in this gourmet kitchen.

Outdoor Spaces:

Just off the living area that covers the entire first level, you can exit through either one of the two beautifully crafted wrought iron doors to a large back porch. The back porch runs from end to end of the interior open concept room and it opens up another world of entertainment possibilities. Gather with your friends and family around multiple seating areas, turn on the gas fire pit, grill some food,
enjoy a drink, set the table for an outdoor meal and soak up the beautiful scenery. Just a few steps away is the pool which is surrounded with more tables and umbrellas for protection from the Arizona sun. Take a dip at Rancho Venado and realize why this is an exceptional property! Pool heating is available for an additional fee if you should request that feature. Pricing for pool heating is based on the current cost of propane.
New addition to the property is 2021 is a 6-7 seat hot tub located off the master bedroom patio.
The front porch extends the length of the first level as well and offers natural desert views. Sit for a bit and watch the birds fly from cactus to cactus or perhaps you will catch sight of a quail family, roadrunner, prairie dog or desert rabbit. This is the desert at its best!

Please Note: Rancho Venado sleeps up to 10 guests. For your comfort as our guests, please discuss with the host if a higher number of occupants is expected. We do charge extra per guest over 10 per night as special arrangements need to be made.
Also Note: We take sanitation and cleanliness very seriously at Rancho Venado. We use non-toxic, environmentally-safe products that kill 99.9% of germs without the use of harmful chemicals. Due to Covid, we are blocking the day before and the day after a booking so that we may do thorough cleaning and disinfecting. Please feel free to inquire about dates if there is a specific need.
