We travel to WY every year to see family. This is the first time we rented a place, and we are glad we did. The reason I did not give it a 5-star is because it was hot in the basement. With our travel dates to WY being smack dab in the middle of WY's hottest weeks, it would be nice to have some sort of a/c. Portable a/c would be ideal - or a window unit. Other then that, we loved our stay.

This is basement apartment listed without air conditioning. I don't understand how much clearer you can get, honestly. It was built in a mountain town, over a hundred years ago.
Most people, including my. family and our businesses survive easily without it. To install air conditioning would include a complete reconstruction of the home, which is shaded by enormous trees. This would obviously change the price dramatically from $49 a night. Keeping doors and windows shut during the day, open at night is how we all (or most of us) manage and mitigate temperatures here. Nobody was deceptive. The upstairs, with air conditioning was available for $10.00 more per night. You get what you pay for. It seems a bit unfair to complain after solutions have been offered. We will continue to offer this apartment, for those traveling on a limited budget. Eventually, an air conditioner will be invented, at an affordable price that doesn't require an outdoor air source, special window unit or complete reconstruction.
Believe me, the subject has been thoroughly researched. I don't have the budget to do what you're asking, and as it turns out, neither did you. We are all in the same boat.

Quaint little apartment with great linens and a lot of unexpected amenities. Felt at home .
Brand new, nice sheets, towels and comforters in a great bedroom with plenty of room to put your things. This property has great wifi too with a flat screen TV and voice activated fire stick. You just have to tell the TV what music to play or movie or show you want and it finds everything for you, including the weather. There's a great dining room table to eat at and an extremely comfortable couch as well as a daybed under the living room window. The yard is large too, well manicured with plenty of parking and some outdoor furniture for just sitting in the shade and looking at the mountains. This is a really great place.
This apartment was more than I expected. It was clean, the bed was AMAZING, even the sheets were like a high end hotel. The area is super quiet. We slept like babies. Cherie really thought about her guests needs, even down to all the cooking spices, foil, honey, etc etc. She even left us a basket of goodies with info on area attractions. I couldn't believe how much she offers at such an affordable cost. It is close to attractions in Cody and a nice drive to Yellowstone. I HIGHLY recommend this apartment.

Thanks Nancy, your generous review is appreciated.
The apartment is exactly as pictured and was comfortable and clean. All the little things you might need are there. Communication was easy and consistent with Cherie. Powell is a cute little town, too!
Excellent little apartment! It’s a down stairs place. One bedroom living area with another sleeping area for a child. Kitchen and bathroom. Everything was clean on arrival. The host was making a repair when we arrived but it was no issue and left us time to grab lunch. Only issues I could talk about was the water leaking while showering. There’s a dryer with no washer. And for couples maybe a queen bed instead of a full would be great! Other than those little issues this is a great affordable property.

Thanks for the honest review. I've actually tried to get a queen down there, but it won't fit through the arched doorway.
This house and location is awesome. We had everything we needed and loved the area. While there our vehicle needed repaired we where able to take it to a shop it was ready within hours,, during this time I needed a dr and the walkin clinic was less than a mile so we walked and pharmacy we walked to. We are planning to make this a yearly vacation location.
Exactly what you need for your trip to Cody or Yellowstone
I stayed for 3 months on business and Cherie made every effort to make me as comfortable as possible even with the virus going around. She offered to have people bring food to the house if I were to feel sick. Wonderful little home and family. I hope when I come back it's available.

Cannot wait to have you again Andrew. You do feel a little like family through all of this. I've been thinking and worrying about you in NJ and facing serious lockdowns. Keep safe!!!!
Property very close to downtown but quiet even with roadwork going on nearby. Bed very comfortable and kitchen very well equipped. Bottle of wine and snacks were a nice welcome gift. Homesteaders Days was a fun festival. Good lo location for Yellowstone East and Northeast Entances as well as Beartooth highway and Chief Joseph Scenic Byway
