About this property

Bayfront Community with sunset views, marina, and pool.

Welcome to Sandy Cove, a private bay front community with boat access, private beach, dock, and pool by the boat marina only 200 yards from your vacation home. Boat slip available for an extra fee. All other amenities included with your stay at no additional charge.

The property is our vacation home and is only available 12 weeks out of the year for guests. Sandy Cove is a quiet community but close to everything.

Where are we? We are 3 miles from Bethany beach. A Grocery store, gas station, liquor store, hardware and bait shop within one mile. Easy drive from VA, MD, DC, PA or NJ. Dewey, Rehoboth, Lewes, & OC only a short drive away.

Our bay home is your home: Plenty of space for families of up to 10 (8 adults max). Relax on our front deck or out on our back deck to watch the sunset. Four TV’s with Amazon Fire Stick with all apps, secure Wi-Fi, & Blu-ray. Make yourself at home.

Our community pool and private beach is available during your stay. Boat slip available for an extra $50 a day. 24-foot max. Boat trailers must be stored off site. Please provide boat insurance. Must follow all Community and HOA rules. Violations subject to fine. Feel free to bring your paddle board, kayak and fishing pole.

Note: The garage is not available for storage. Back patio is available to store paddle boards. Covered area in front of garage for bikes.

Owner/Manager access: Call, text or email with any concerns. No smoking please. Bed Linen service is provided with your stay. Please bring your own bath towels. All paper products and cleaning detergents will be provided.

Great vacation spot!

Really enjoyed staying at Art’s place - clean house, had everything we needed, very nice dog friendly community, not far from the beach and a cute private area on the water as well. The photos do not do it justice. We would definitely visit again.

Great week at the beach

My family had a wonderful stay here. The property was clean and exactly how it looks in the pictures. The small development was so lovely with the boats docked and small pier where my daughter caught her first fish! Art was prompt to reply when I had a question and we would definitely stay again next time in Bethany Beach.

Wifi was out the majority of our stay. While it was a hardware issue that the owner did try to resolve, we had to fix it ourselves. The owner was very gracious about it, communicated about the issue promptly, and offered a late checkout as compensation. Excellent accommodations otherwise. The private beach is less a beach and more a few rocks.

The kitchen had all necessary utensils, and the deck was comfortable though the view was of the development town houses. Difficulty at beginning of our stay - had to contact host about getting 3rd floor bedroom electricity on (had to reset the breaker); remote for dining room TV was never found; took several tries to get on WiFi; had to hunt around to find soap for 3rd floor bathroom. There are 3 flights of stairs between entrance and bedrooms. Quite challenging for old knees.

Home away from home

My family of 5 plus our dog enjoyed the location and homey feel of our home. This was our 2nd summer here in this house and really enjoyed it. Just had 1 issue but reached out to Art and responded very quickly on how to fix it. Thanks again for sharing your home with us.

Fantastic stay, I love that the owner was available throughout my stay. The only thing was the internet quality was not the best. However, everything else was so top notch that I had to give it a 5. The neighbors were also very friendly. I would definitely return.

A little something for everyone

My family absolutely loved our stay at Sunny Cove! The house is clean and comfortable. The bedrooms are all very spacious, 2 master bedrooms with bathrooms attached is perfect for 2 families staying together. The kitchen has everything you need for the week, dishes, pots, pans, utensils, even storage containers! The microwave, refrigerator, and oven work wonderfully and are very clean. There is a little beverage fridge next to the bar which was a plus! The dining table has plenty of seating as well. My morning coffee was very enjoyable on the patio looking at the bay. The patio furniture and cushions are all well kept. The laundry room is perfectly located on the first floor so your pool or beach towels can go directly into them after a long day by the water. The house is located in a perfect place and the community is very quiet and safe. They have a fishing dock and mini little beach to sit and enjoy. We spend many hours there while one kid fished and the other just wanted to play in the sand. If you are a kayak or canoe family this is a perfect spot for you as they have entey ways straight off the boating docks for you to use. Ocean beaches were a 10 to 20 minute drive depending on where you wanted to go for the day with Bethany Beach being the closest. The Towers beach was our family favorite! There is a grocery store about 2 miles away and a yummy restaurant with ice cream just 1 mile up the road that we enjoyed riding our bikes to.

Nice property

This is a lovely property in a quiet area. We were looking for a rental with a pool and that allowed pets; this fit the bill. Close to several DE beaches; we even went to Ocean City, MD. House was very clean, too.

We fell in love with Sandy Cove the moment we drove into the community. We have vacationed for many years at the Delaware shore either in Bethany, Rehoboth, Dewey, or Lewes. We love it and happy to share our little getaway.

What makes this property unique

Sandy Cove makes you feel like you are at the beach because we are right on the bay with 180 degree water views from the community. We enjoy the close knit neighbors, the private beach, dock to fish or catch crabs. Easy access to our boat slip and to the pool with a wonderful view of the bay. All the homes remind me of being in Key West. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do.
