Location was awesome! Walk ability was so nice!! There needs to be a sign/arrow to point you to the cottage behind the main house. Confirmation sent us to the main house, not the cottage . Outside the cottage was terrible! Very dirty and landscaping was awful. Inside cottage was cute, but needs more hooks to hang clothes. Faucets need work. Bed wasn’t comfortable at all. Loved Franklin Tennessee. Worth visiting again!!

Just a couple of things. The driveway was very small and hard to see. Maybe it mentioned that in the listing and I just overlooked it. If you had a larger car then a compact car you might have a hard time getting in and out of the driveway. The faucet in the bathroom was very loose and we were afraid to use the bathroom sink. The location was perfect and in walking distance to downtown Franklin. Overall a nice stay.

Quaint, pretty location. Convenient. Clean. Just had a few issues. The place had no toilet paper. The outside decorative lighting shown did not work. When we messaged the host we did not hear back for a long time. When someone came to bring toilet paper, they walked in on my fiancé without knocking….and still didn’t leave the toilet paper. When I messaged the host about this issue, they did not respond back until after we had checked out. Again, it was very cute. Just felt unprofessional.

Hi Jason, I’m so sorry you had those issues during your stay. That’s quite out of the ordinary. We always leave 2 rolls at least for the studio bluebird. I don’t know what could have happened. But we tushed right over with some as soon as you told us…I’m so sorry about the intrusion. They said they knocked for a bit. Apologies! And the lights…we just had a storm storm. We have since fixed them. I appreciate your since with us & please give us another chance to make you happy!

Perfect stay. Bed wonderful. Just right size. All wonderful.Only suggestion- I am older and would appreciate a light on the drive in since it is slightly uneven. Thx for a wonderful -lace to rest/retreat.

At least there is free parking on site and it fits a normal size car :) plenty of street parking as well. Sorry you felt the need to knock us with a bad rating over that. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in the beautiful cottage walkable to downtown Franklin …it’s hard not too.

We booked this VRBO many months in advance as it looked adorable and had a great location with good reviews overall. We were driving in from KY for the reservation so out of courtesy we texted the host first thing in the morning via the VRBO app to let her know we would be arriving around 9:30-10pm. No response. It was a key pad entry so when we arrived at 9:30pm we were able to let ourselves in (key pad very tricky… not working correctly). The entire place was filthy. No one had cleaned it from the last guests: bed had dirty sheets, garbages full, dishes in sink, used towels, obvious nothing had been prepared for our arrival. Since we could not get in contact with the owner we went direct to VRBO. Owner was extremely difficult to work with. Claimed we had needed to check-in by 9pm or would have to wait until the next day for the cleaning service to arrive. Are you kidding me? Nothing on her site stated anything of the such. She said we could do our own laundry and stay if we wanted. VRBO felt bad for us and were trying to help as this was really bad. We sent them the attached photos. After then cleaning a couple dishes so we could have a drink we saw a mouse had been under the sink in the paper towel. That was the end. We moved to a hotel and cancelled entire resvn. It took us some time but VRBO did refund entire . Owner was horrible to work with. We have NEVER had this poor of an experience.

The place had a cute set-up as a cottage and was in a good location. However, it needs serious updating. The bathroom, while otherwise clean needs a new door. The bathroom door while trying to be vintage is very old and crusty and doesn't close properly. The curtains throughout, especially bathroom don't cover the windows so there is no privacy. The shades covering the french doors are in bad shape. While the kitchen appliances were a beautiful turquoise, in all honesty the kitchen cabins and counter are very old and smell bad and in dire need of replacement. The Keurig coffee maker was not clean and a bit slimy. I think the place needs a deep clean throughout especially with floors. With some updating, I think this place could otherwise be nice. But especially the curtains/window coverings, kitchen counter and cabinets and bathroom door is a must.

If you have an SUV or truck, the parking situation is horrible and dangerous pulling in and out, you can’t see vehicles or pedestrians coming. The trees should be cut down to see. Extremely tiny area!!! The bathroom floor was dirty and the outside seating area should have been cleaned up for visitors. Overgrown shrubs, chairs were not cleaned, no firewood near the pit. The TV was a nightmare to figure out how to use it, and it would constantly stream. The outside curb appeal was not appealing at all. Would have loved to have entered a clean, non spider webbed front door. The lock needs to be fixed, could not open after 5-6 times of trying. No stove to cook anything, only a microwave, and an extremely tiny fridge. No large mirrors, the mirror in the bathroom was tiny and had to stand on my toes to see in it. The shower area is and extremely small area to move around and the toilet is in such a small space.

Convenient to downtown and an easy walk. Parking in the hidden driveway difficult to navigate . We could barely get out without hitting the mirror. Some directions were different in the book vs what I received in the email.

We had a lovely stay at the Bluebird Cottage. The location was excellent to be able to walk into downtown. We would stay again, and definitely would recommend staying here. The parking as described in other reviews is tight.

The cottage was walkable through the town of Franklin and was on a quiet side street. Perfect for our vacation. Clean and beautiful decor, the Bluebird Cottage was unique and cozy. Excellent air conditioning and big tv.

Location was fantastic, and we were able to walk downtown even in the below-normal temperatures for February in middle TN. . Adorable cottage vibe with an retro Franklin theme and nicely decorated throughout!We had unseasonably colder temps that made the cottage feel chilly most of the time as the heater struggled to keep the cottage warm. I would also add that some of the window treatments could add a few more curtain panels for better privacy on one side, and the parking space was sufficient but a little tight for our mid size pick-up truck. The front entry lock works but was a little finicky for us at times, but this surely could have been due to user error on our part. Overall we loved the charm and location and would recommend the Bluebird Cottage to anyone!

The location to this place was great. It was a five minute walk to town, the Lotz House and Carter House. The decor was very cute the bed was comfortable. Having said that, for a short woman who does her hair and wears makeup, the mirror in the bathroom didn’t work at all. I had to use a chair and put it on the window sill to make it work. We ran out of body wash and the bleach pods to wash the towels and we had to use our phones hotspots for the Internet.

Hi Becky! Thanks for the feedback. We apologize for the mirror. We will look into that. The cottage has its own WiFi since th summer last year. The WiFi is lightening gas and works amazing. I wish you would have contacted us because it sounds like you didn’t have the right code ;(

We arrived later in the night. With the rain and darkness we felt the walkway and entry could have been better lighted. We were happy with furnishings, bed, TV etc.Driveway entry is narrow for our midsize SUV. A large SUV would have problems. We were unable to get Alexa to operate but that was not a problem for us.We intend the above comments to be constructive and not intended to discourage future customers.

We were in and out and primary only used the space for a bed and shower. The space in general was fairly tight, 3 people would be too many for this space. We were there for a business planning time and this space would not have been adequate for me and my wife to feel comfortable sitting for extended periods of time with laptops and papers. If we were just relaxing and watching a show then this is perfect and highly functional. The only real negative about the location was the driveway was almost inaccessible for my truck. It was very very tight to the extent that the shrubbery scratched our vehicle. For clarity I drive a Silverado 2500, its a big truck :)
