Le Gite " Préfévrier" located between Bordeaux and St Emilion in a bourgeois house

In the heart of the vineyards, 15 km from Bordeaux, 30 km from St Emilion, 1h of Arcachon Bay and ocean beaches, our cottage is located on the ground floor of a mansion built in the 19th century. It features 1 bedroom with a bed 140, an adjoining bathroom, separate WC, a large living room with fitted kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave oven, hob indusction, Nespresso coffee machine, ...) , sofa bed for 2 and a private garden equipped with garden furniture.
An Internet connection via Wi-Fi is available and free.
Towels and linen are provided. The cleaning products are available.
Possibility of access to the pool (8X4) unsecured from 17h and to share with the owners
During the summer period (July and August) bookings are only from Saturday to Saturday.
Tourist tax to pay on the spot (0. 80 euros per day and per adult)

Nice, clean, tidy apartment. Quiet part of the garden for sitting outside. Very pleasant owners. We couldn't find a cafetière for making ground coffee. Written instructions for using the shower would be useful.

This gite is very close to a train station to take you in to Bordeaux and has a few restaurants that are within a 10 minute walk so you don't really have to have a car, although we did. It was a half hour drive to St. Emilion and Bordeaux. The place was spacious and clean. Very quite spot in a good location. Everything was great except for the Wifi, we had problems with it the whole time we were there.

A very comfortable holiday stay

This historic building has been well modernised inside. Spacious living room with well-equipped kitchen area. Warm welcome from our hosts which included the use of their swimming pool. Great location for visiting Bordeaux (take the boat: Batbus), St Emillion (map of walk through vineyards available from tourist office), fortress at Blaye ( take the lower riverside road between Bourg and Plassac).
