Perfect summer vacation lakeside getaway! Wake up to coffee on the deck, spend the afternoon jumping off your private two-story dock, and dock your rental boat right on-site — this is the ultimate hassle-free summer retreat where the lake is your backyard.

Spend quality time with family and friends and soak in endless lake and mountain views from this 4BR/3BA home, located inside a gated community on Lake James. Enjoy plenty of space to spread out: two large wraparound decks (upper and lower) with grills and seating, a back yard with a fire pit, and a private double-decker dock with room for a boat (not included) and lounging space on both levels.

Our lot includes a beach cove with a path down to a picnic table and hammocks, plus a sandy area for relaxing by the water. We provide 3 kayaks and 2 paddle boards for guest use, or you can rent a boat from a nearby marina. Lake James also offers endless ways to explore nearby — swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, biking, and mountain trails, with 30% of the shoreline protected as State Park land.

Recent improvements: newly updated and expanded upper and lower decks, larger patio doors leading out from both levels, and an expanded lot including the cove area (with walkway access for kayaks in progress).

About the home:
The main level features the master bedroom and bath with patio doors out to the lake-view deck, a second bedroom with a king bed, a large hall bath, and an open great room with kitchen, dining area, and living room with vaulted ceilings and a gas fireplace. New oversized doors lead out to the deck with expanded dining and seating.
The lower level offers a large den with smart TV, a bedroom with a king bed and new patio doors to the lower deck, and a third bedroom with a queen and bunk bed. There`s a large hall bath and a laundry area off the bunk room. The home includes internet and 3 TVs throughout.

Nearby, the towns of Marion and Morganton offer shopping, dining, and entertainment for when you want to venture beyond the lake.

Please note: Boat trailers are not permitted in the driveway. If you`re bringing a boat, you`ll need off-site parking — your host can provide a nearby location and cost details.
