Welcome to Our Big Boulder Mountain/Lake Home

Our home is completely renovated from top to bottom. Everything is fresh, new and ready to enjoy. Every detail of this home was thought out to make it the perfect family vacation getaway for our family and YOURS! The home includes central heat and air conditioning in all rooms.

Take in all the beautiful views of Big Boulder Lake and ski mountain from the floor to ceiling window in the main floor two story living room. Sit back and enjoy the oversized, 10 foot long leather sofa with the comfort of a cozy fire at touch of a button. A 46' LED TV with Netflix and DVD will help you enjoy your downtime. Plenty of seating in the dining room and breakfast bar. Create your own meals in the well equipped remodeled kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances.

You will find the views from our deck to be peaceful and each season brings a new view! There is a dining and seating area for you to enjoy as well as a new infrared gas grill.

Refresh in a king size pillow top bed in the Master Bedroom. All bedrooms with new blankets, pillows and new plush carpet. Master Bedroom has 40' Wall mounted LCD TV. The attached master bathroom has separate powder room area, spacious Jacuzzi jetted tub and separate shower. Plenty of space to pamper yourself.

Upstairs includes 2 bedrooms both with LCD TV and Netflix, and 1 full bathroom.

The lower level is perfect for a kids retreat or a second family. It can sleep up to four people with two twin extra long beds (can be pushed together) An easily convertible full size futon can sleep two. A 42' swivel, LCD TV with XBox, DVD and Netflix makes this a family friendly hangout. This lower level suite is complete with a full bathroom and laundry area.

Enjoy four seasons of year round activities. In the winter we are .4 miles from the Big Boulder Ski Lodge which is open day and night on the weekends and holidays and nightly during the week. You can also enjoy Jack Frost Ski resort which is minutes away and both locations also have snow tubing.

In the summer enjoy the Mountain Lake Club with the eight guest passes provided. The Amenities there include, fishing, swimming, boating, tennis, beach, playground and parties.

All year long visitors can enjoy the local attractions such as indoor water parks, outlet shopping, casinos, antiquing, miniature golfing, nature hiking, local state parks, and much more. But please take time to appreciate the abundant wildlife and foliage that makes the Poconos a picturesque paradise.

Perfect place for all ages!

Our extended family, ages 3 - 92, spent a wonderful week at Boulder Lake! Chris is an excellent, responsive host and his home is exactly as advertised. We enjoyed the pool, boating on the lake, and the many attractions in the area. All in all, a great place for a family vacation!

Perfect Mountain Retreat

House was great , there were 8 of us. Great time, very nice to have access to the pool and lake. Should be more washcloths, as well as pillow cases (extra) freezer not working, talked with owner, it was being replaced after our stay. Someone should be taking inventory over things more closely. All n all still very nice place.

Great townhouse for a summer getaway with passes included to lake club. Everything you can possibly need is included in the rental. Owner is so easy to work with and responds quickly to questions. Highly reccomend. Only note of caution to those not familiar with the Poconos, this rental is a 25 minute drive to many of the Pocono attractions. Closer to Jim Thorpe, which we love!

House Needs Attention

The house needs a spring cleaning. There were moldy shower curtains, loose shelves on the wall, dirty baseboards, dirty spot on master rug, low wattage lightning, etc. The kitchen was fully complimented, sheets were very soft and comfortable, and towels were soft and new.

Peaceful Poconos

We enjoyed our stay at Laurelwood! It was so quiet and peaceful! Lots of things to do that were easy to get to and not far to travel. So enjoyable in evening on deck watching the deer come right up to us looking for treats! Two teenage boys loved the basement bedroom! It was like the own private retreat Thank you Chris and we definitely would rent again

Our review

This was a really great place to stay with family. Only thing was disappointing was the lake water was 3 feet down when we went in August so we were only able to swim in the pool, which made the pool fuller. Need more parking passes for my family of 12, bc we didn't have enough room to car pool. House was big enough for 12 to 15 people. Had a loft that you could use as a room too with a blow up mattress.

Good accommodations for my family! The welcome book should be updated with current club house prices and some linens needed to be cleaned prior to using but Communication with the owner was easy. Overall, we had a great family vacation.
