A week in Grand Haven

Bruce and Gale were great hosts offering to stock the house with some groceries before we arrived. Bruce waited for us even when we were arriving late and at 11pm. The house is exactly like the photos, no wide-angle/ fisheye lenses used. Absolutely beautiful cottage, stone’s throw from the water. As a summer cottage you have the whole experience, meaning that it’s a bit rustic but as soon as you see the photos you expect it to be this, so no surprises. Parking is a problem if you have more than one car. Residents are very possessive over their spaces and to park a second car you either take one of only two not used or you drive to the next neighborhood (10min) but short walk through. We were able to use the two vacant places and did not need to drive around but we had only one car and risked the neighbors wrath when loading or unloading other vehicles when there was no space. The neighbors were really friendly and engaging. The parking was a tiny detail on an otherwise perfect rental, Bruce and Gale we are definitely coming back!
