DePersia Dunes is a beautiful home surrounded by woods located on the outskirts of Grand Haven. This home is located on a quiet street with a semi secluded public beach a mere 900 yards from property. {Ample parking on the street is allowed for those people who prefer not to walk a block with all the beach toys}. All windows face either De Persia South Highland nature preserve or lush wooded forest, which frequently has deer, fox. wild turkeys and other wild life wondering around the property.


Professional decorated and painted 2018. This home is 2200 square feet living space There are two bedrooms located on the east side which has a Jack and Jill full bathroom with a large walk in shower. The two bedrooms on the west side also have a full Jack and Jill bathroom with a shower/ tub. Sounds of the lake can be heard to lull you to sleep. As you enter the home the great room features cathedral ceiling, which opens to the kitchen. A gas fireplace is located in the great room. The modern kitchen has granite counter tops and stainless steal appliances. The kitchen provides all the comforts of home with a full stock of dishes and cookware. Another full bathroom is off the kitchen. As a bonus we offer basement access, which is 1200 square foot. This space has a pool table.

Keywords: Relaxing retreat with fun family activates located in a peaceful secluded section of Grand Haven, which is only ten-minute drive. Bike paths also can be used to get to the quaint town. This gorgeous open space layout has huge front porch and backyard area with a grill to entertain and play yard games.

Wonderful rental property - can't wait to stay there again! It's a nice layout with the bedrooms and bathrooms on the main floor with 2 on each side of the house, so you have some nice separation. And then the large family room and open-design entry into kitchen are in the middle. Plenty of space for a family vacation, with a great basement/play area and backyard for kids to run around. Check-in was a breeze with the keyless lock; kitchen is fully stocked with cookware; and there are tons of movies and games to choose from. Wifi is strong and easy to use as well. Thank you!!

Wonderful Grand Haven home close to public beach!

The house is very comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The front porch is cozy and quickly became our favorite gathering spot where we saw deer, many an evening, right in the front yard. Quiet location in a very nice neighborhood. The walk to the beach wasn’t bad at all, and well worth it, as Lake Michigan is beautiful! Grand Haven is such a quaint, picturesque town, many shops and the Musical Fountain was a highlight for Granny. We would definitely consider this rental another time!

This was one of our best rental experiences yet. There is no reason that we would not return to this house. Lots of space for everyone. Close to the beach. We did a lot of relaxing but there were plenty of oPtions. We run all year. This is our week to chill. Thanks for having us.

Had a wonderful family vacation for 6 adults and 4 children Home well kept and spacious with a lot of unexpected supplies available especially in kitchen Bedrooms and baths were quite large and work well for our families The basement was a great playroom but some of the play tables were broke when we arrived Also we were so excited that beach was within walking distance but when we checked it out the day of arrival. It was very very small length and width We ended up driving to state park beach every day. That was beautiful We picked this rental because we could walk to the beach. Since we had 4 children - 5 and under. We will return to Grand Haven and stay closer to state park beach

Excellent house; family friendly and home-like feel

Overall, we had a great stay at Brucker Street. The house has a great welcoming layout, two bedrooms on either side of the house (jack & jill bathrooms + another bathroom off the kitchen in the center of the house), and the main portion of the house has an open floorplan with a spacious kitchen and family room. The kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens of any rental we've stayed at; from waffle irons to fondue pot, all basic cooking items (s&p, flour, spices, etc), and tons of plates/cups (both ceramic and plastic which was nice). Two of the bedrooms had very comfortable beds (the twin & King side) and the other side were much too hard (two queens - one was like a rock - needs a topper of some sort). The basement could definitely use some TLC; each of the games down there were broken in a way (the Foosball table still completely operable but top broken, basketball hoop broken, dart board inoperable - no darts, and pool table somewhat sad). Upgrades would really help down here, but our children were small enough that it didn't affect us at all. There were TONS of toys for little children, as well as games for older children - again one of the best stocked houses we've seen in that regard. The backyard is awesome, we spent most of our time out there playing ladderball (we brought) and cornhole (already there). The upstairs TV could use a small speaker system but is very large and has GREAT amenities (Roku, Netflix, etc - all operable). Tons of seating for a multifamily and large carpeted area for playing. The beach is a relatively short walk (not that far) but from what we heard from others, has really changed with weather over the past year. It was very small and cliff like- still fine for a short play, but we opted to go to the City Beach instead because it's so pristine. Really was no issue, it was a <5-8 min drive away and the house was still priced very fairly for that distance to the beach and for the size of the home. The house is very quiet, dead-end road so little to no traffic coming down the street. Overall, a very good home, would rent again, and would recommend to others. Some TLC to some areas would be great. Owner was receptive to any inquiries and prompt to get things done. All in all, we have stayed in GH many times and this was a great home that is a good price option to "cottages" that don't offer near as many of the amenities. Upgrade the basement and it would be one of the better ones out there in this price range.

Beautiful Home and Location

The property was very well equipped with plenty of kitchen and household supplies. Layout was great allowing one family to use two bedrooms on one end of the house and two on the opposite end separated by the kitchen and large family room. Basement provided an ideal place for children to play. Short walk to a beautiful beach. Very private back and front yard. We really enjoyed sitting on the large front porch in the evening.

Well stocked and spacious

This home is spacious and well laid out for a multigenerational vacation. 4 bedrooms (2 each with Jack and Jill bathrooms and a hall full bath) with an open floor plan with living room and a kitchen with a big family sized table all on the same level. The front porch was a lovely spot for breakfast and quiet time reading. The basement playroom was great for the grandkids. The home is well supplied with most anything needed. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans and skillets, many different sized casseroles, just about any kitchen gadget you would need and lots and lots of dishes and glasses. We gave the dishwasher a workout as well as the washer and the dryer. We had a one year old and the home had a baby gate for the stairway to the basement, a high chair, and a pack and play. The thing that stands out the most is the owner (and her sister) who responded so quickly and smoothly to two issues. Rarely is any trip problem free, but it is how the host responds that sets this apart. The first day, the air conditioner went out, by that evening, there was a technician there who diagnosed and repaired damage to the outside unit done by little woodland critters gnawing on the wires. FIXED! The grill malfunctioned, and again, was replaced the next day. We were impressed. The home was also stocked with a deck box on the porch filled with beach chairs, umbrellas, and some beach toys. So nice not to have to bring them from our homes. We would highly recommend this home and it’s very responsive hosts.

Excellent Family Cottage

Cottage was excellent for our extended family of 10. The bedroom and bathroom layout is excellent. The short walk to the beach, closeness to Grand Haven and Spring Lake for boating was very enjoyable. A home away from home.

I cannot say enough as to how well this house has been stocked for its quests. The kitchen was stalked for tons of the basics, so you did not need to go out and purchase just for every meal that you may be cooking. There was also a pan for everything. There is a baby gate for the basement stairs, baby monitor, baby door latches. Again, for the years my family has been renting vacation homes, I have never seen one done so well. We happened to pick a lousy week, cold and rain, but there were tons of games, toys for the kids to pay with. Thank you Michelle for a wonderful experience, that really could have gone so very bad.

I am a frequent traveler and use VRBO myself. Being a school teacher and raising two active boys, I now am an empty nester. In my free time I help with fundraisers for certain causes. Another part of my days is spent being outdoors and being active in such activities as biking, swimming, kayaking, fishing, apple and blueberry picking.

Why they chose this property

Since 1922 my grandparents and their children have been vacationing in Grand Haven. They built a cottage on Lake Michigan 1943, which all of his11 grandchildren have inherited. The 11 grandchildren families still come up every summer to enjoy the each other, nature and the beach.Since the family has become so large I purchased this property a block away.
