Imagine sitting on the dock and watching the sunset with your first glass of wine after hiking the nearby forest preserves, sea kayaking or taking a brisk swim on the private coastal beach. This is a laid back community that is very quiet and private. Cabbage island is just across the bay for famous clam bakes and the harbor town is a short 4 mile drive away for night life, restaurants, shopping, and boating excursions for dancing, music and whale and seal and Puffin watching. Rent a kayak or boat and take advantage of seeing this area from the water. Camp Leott Jib is a renovated and beautifully maintained second floor unit very close to the water. Jib has a studio kitchen with attractive granite counter tops microwave, coffeemaker, dorm refrigerator, and more, a 3/4 bath with private dressing area, two double beds, dining table and chairs, Pull out twin love seat and covered outdoor deck. Envision yourself collecting live lobster from the lobster at the pound and preparing your delicious lobster meal in your own kitchen to be enjoyed outdoors on the deck! This units is approximately 350 feet and has a private dressing area separate of the shower and toilet area. The Jib #1388361 and Mainsail #676320, Sloop #488351, and Sunfish #676319 are all located on the small property of Water's Edge Condominium and Cottages. These can be rented together for large groups allowing private accommodations, however, close proximity and common grounds and amenities. Jib also has an adjoining unit (Mainsail) that can be rented for an additional rental fee. The Mainsail is NOT included in the posted rates. Call owner for additional information These are in a unique Waterfront Community. This condominium unit is on Linekin Bay in East Boothbay. Water's Edge has only 21 condos, and cottages that are privately owned with access to the Association Dock/Float and beach. This community is a short drive into Boothbay Harbor. I sent a txt to the host asking about closest grocery store and recommendations for places to visit. Did not get an answer. Host did contact me at end of stay letting me know she’d appreciate if we’d leave early to make her job easier. This site presented as a retirement community and we were the outsiders. Every morning, neighbors moved their breakfast table to the rail blocking what little view was available as well as blocking our exit path. There is a very small beach at low tide that requires climbing over big sharp rocks. The room was not as advertised and was almost cave like.

Beautiful place with ocean view

This unit was everything we needed for a few days in the Boothbay Harbor area. Clean and nicely decorated. Easy to find, but having the name of the unit would have made it much easier! We enjoyed our stay, especially the beautiful water views and ease of getting to places to see the area.

Really enjoyed my little trip to Boothbay. Plenty to do. My grandkids came for one night and we had such fun at the Maine Botanical Gardens. The unit was just fine with all the essentials, comfortable beds, nice dock and pretty sunsets.

The room was just as pictured online. Very clean, easy to find, easy check in, plenty of parking. I would rather be away from the hustle & bustle of town and this place was perfect. Far enough away, but not too far.

We do a yearly sister trip and so far all 4 years have been along the coast of Maine. We fell in love with the Boothbay area and stay at the same place each year. It’s perfect. Awesome water views, easy location to get everywhere and the hosts are great. Very cost efficient as well. Highly recommend.

Quiet

The room is clean, comfortable, and efficient. There was no interaction with the owners at all and the no inflexibility of the refund policy made us a bit uneasy at first. But it is straightforward listing, nothing amiss, and the area is beautiful to explore.

VERY Accommodating!!

Everything you need for a beautiful stay- including laundry facilities!! Everyone is very friendly!! Did miss not having a dock! Hopefully, they get it fixed soon! Nice to have a rough beach though when the tide goes out and chairs by the ocean!! We definitely enjoyed our stay!!

A Well Kept Secret

We have been coming to Boothbay Harbor for years, and never really knew about this wonderful place to stay! The owners were very responsive and helpful when VRBO did not send us the check-in instructions, the accommodations were very comfortable, clean, and well appointed, and the view was absolutely gorgeous!! We cannot speak highly enough about our vacation at this little piece of Heaven, and hope to rent again in the years to come. A million thanks, Leah and Scott!!

Very nice stay

Beautiful property; breathtaking views; comfortable bed. Had a coffee maker but no coffee or coffee accompaniments. Fortunately, we got in early enough to hit the store in town to buy coffee, cream, sugar and coffee scoop. Only negative we had.

I have been in love with Maine since I first saw a photograph in my fifth grade geography book! The history and landscape are beautiful. Once we met the people of this region we knew we had to live here. We had been looking at real estate resources for many months. One morning my husband said 'honey, I think I found something in Boothbay but I don't know if you will like it' One look at the beautiful sunsets and gorgeous water view and I said ' Let's call and book a flight!' As we drove from Portland to Boothbay we were more and more enthralled with the region and the beauty and the food as we stopped to eat the lobster rolls!! We were certain that it couldn't get any better. As we drove through Wiscassete (The Prettiest Village in Maine) we were touched by the quaintness of this village and the beautiful Sheepscott River, once we entered Boothbay and drove past the General Store there was no stopping!! We made it down Ocean Point road and turned onto the road into Waters Edge just at Sunset!! Wow! What a sight! We were home!! Now, we always make certain we get there in time to purchase our groceries and wine at the grocery store on the way in to be able to get back home in time for the first sunset of our stay. We never get tired of the music, dancing, wonderful food, outdoor activities, and site seeing. We have made many friends in our short time in this area. We have explored the nearby towns of Bath, Brunswick, Wiscassete, Edgecomb, Damariscotta, Camden, Hollowell, and Castine but always are so happy to return to this very quiet and serene place on the water. Ahhh Heaven!!
